I believe Lindsay needs to take a distance from both of her parents.She probably has seen her father abusing her mother,and she was abused too,so she naturally sided with her.Her father was absent and in jail,Lindsay was the one working and providing for the family and for her fathers bills and frauds.But her mother has used Lindsay and her father tries to do it now.I find it realy suspicious that Micheal has all that voicemails where Dina calls Samantha names and that she is dangerous to Lindsay.For some time now,Lindsay appears very independent and strong.She also has found someone else to count on,and she doesnt seem to bother her mother who is her manager to be away so much.So to me this means Dina is probably jealous or even afraid of the close bond beetween Lindsay and Samantha and she sees that Lindsay,a healthie trouble free Lindsay can walk on her own.That means Dina is left behind.Michael is trying desperately to become like Britneys dad.Its clear he is for the money.The only person i believe is there for Lindsay is Samantha.They have known each other for years and Samantha seems very press shy and private.She also is educated,finished colege has knowledge of the world,she is older and has lived in the night and knows the dangers.Her family are also talented and educated.I do hope though Lindsay will cut accompanying Samantha at clubs,cause it makes Sam look bad as if shedrags her there.People though dont understand that when you are in love you want to be together.Samantha is going away for a week,and will tour the world in a few days for her work, Sydney Canada LA and Canada in a few days.She is very thin and has black eyes.Its natural cause she works at night and travels very often.Yet people see her thin and believe she takes drugs.She refused it so many times,yet the press doesnt report that she has denied it several times.Things have escalated and i have a feeling Samantha is realy treated unfairly.Keep strong Lindsay./

I think, that if he really wanted to contact Lindsay, in a private manner, and She wasn’t taking his calls, he could have gone through HER attourney, Blair Berk ! so a lot of things don’t add up here sort of….Michael Lohan, it would be very smart of you to go to Blair Berk to communicate with Lindsay, when She goes into not taking your calls mood swings. X17 is a BAAAAAAAAAD idea. Bad Daddy, Bad Parent, don’t go through her diaries, that is disgusting, if She and this guy were doing anything, they would be doing it, she wouldn’t be writing about it in her diary, bad parent award ( to paraphrase freaky friday ). I would strongly advise sending communication to Lindsay through Blair Berk, Lindsay’s attourney. Mostly through the auspices of YOUR attourney at that.

I think Michael is delusional. He’s a liar who wants so desperately to be in the papers that he’d sell out his own flesh and blood for his fifteen minutes. He’s not concerned, he’s in need of attention. There is a reason why his children can’t stand him and with each statement he puts out there, the public is starting to understand why.

Oh, I’m not excusing Michael by any stretch of the imagination. What he did was wrong and, unfortunately, par for the course for him. I’m only saying that with the death of his father, it’s somewhat understandable that his judgment would be impaired. Not excusable, but understandable. I think normal people might do something regrettable when under emotional stress. How much more so for Michael who does regrettable things when not under emotional stress.

That and it sounds like Dina put him on a spot, thinking Lindsay was in trouble and blah, blah, blah. But it also seems like Lindsay had already stopped taking his calls before this all went public. So it seems reasonable, if not very smart for him to go to the only channel he has open, the press.

Again, it’s still not the right thing for him to have done and it all depends on how much of his side of the story is real and how much he made up.

If this is all pure fabrication and he’s just trying to get attention, this is low. Even for him.

If there’s some truth to what he said, then his actions are understandable, if still wrong.

Far be it from me to not find Michael Lohan a despicable human being. But Lindsay loves him and this must hurt a lot.

I agree with you; I have to side Dina, Lindsay, and Samantha on this because he’s the only one that I see going to the media and causing familial disruption. Everyone has their problems, but I think that Dina attempts to do what is best for her children. When Dina and Ali started circuiting the media promoting their reality show, they automatically denied that Lindsay was in a relationship with Samantha, and at the time, I really don’t think that Lindsay’s family knew that she has gotten involved with Samantha.

Once Dina and the other children found out, you have never seen Dina, Ali, or both mention if Lindsay was gay again. They continued to promote their reality show, but I think that Lindsay told them because they didn’t know…and was giving misinformation.

Michael, on the other hand, has been disrespectful in the way that he has handled private family matters. If he is so concern with Lindsay and her life, why did he fire back AGAIN on X17? Okay, I could believe maybe the first time he had lost his mind, but come on, this dude has been doing this since Lindsay got fame. He is trying to live through his child negatively by feeding himself with fame gratification. To me, this makes no difference.

IF Lindsay was drinking and taking drugs again, he does have the right to be concern. IF that was the case, try to communicate with your daughter privately…why are you expressing your concerns to X17 who follow Lindsay around every second of the day.

My other suspicions are, too, that Michael has been working with X17. If you go on the x17 site and search for some of the clips when Michael Lohan was visiting Lindsay on set, he spoke to the paparazzi like they were his old friends. I know what people are going to say. He was being polite, BUT to me, it look like subtle I am on good terms with these people.

Michael also said on x17 that he went to them because Lindsay wasn’t listening to him. Okay, fine. Then, why didn’t he give a message instead of blurting out all this unnecessary sh*t? It seems to me that Michael had done something to Lindsay post-rehab. She said that she gave him a chance…and look what happened. Michael’s track record for outing his family is notorious and evident that he uses the media to get attention–looks like selfish attention for himself.

I am sorry; I just don’t trust what Michael has to say. He has hurt his family too many times for me to give him the okay. Plus, when Lindsay and Samantha made actual statement on their MySpace blogs, I think that sealed the deal for me.

L&E, you make excellent points, but IF Michael was sooo CONCERNED, he would talk to his child not blab to the press. There are some things that should be kept private. He just embarassed his daughter and his family.

Michael is a liar and clearly has issues. Making a statement to the media following your father’s death is beyond the point of good taste. Rather than attacking his ex-wife and daughter, he should be in mourning and taking care of his family. He lacks good judgement and is apparently allergic to honesty.

I don’t believe he and Dina communicate as much as he says they do. If you remember, in the past he was always crying that Dina wouldn’t talk to him or let his children talk to him. Now we know why. He just repeats the conversations to the tabloids. Now I don’t like Dina, I think she has her own issues, but I believe her over Michael.

My condolences go out to his father dying, even though you could argue that his behavior is irrational because his father was sick, still, most people aren’t going to go to the media and spill out their child’s business for the world to hear. It doesn’t excuse what he did. Sorry. He knows how Lindsay is. By reading her blog, it suggests to me that she is tired of him going behind her back and talking to the media about her personal life.

For months, Lindsay hasn’t made a formal statement about her relationship with Samantha Ronson. I think that it is because she wants matters private. I know, by how the paparazzi and the media treats her, she gets tired of them trying to get all in her business all the time. These cameras and people are always stalking her down to get her pictures and ask her personal questions. I just think that if her dad knows how bad she gets it from the media…and his father has been ill, he wouldn’t have cared enough to go X17 and air out his family’s personal issues.

Now, to be fair, I don’t know what Michael and Dina talked about, BUT I know what Lindsay and Samantha wrote. And both of them were upset that Michael had ran off at the mouth. Yeah, Michael could be a concern father, but I think if he was that concern he would have been sensitive to his daughter’s needs instead of going behind her back and talking to the media. Because at the end of the day, he hurt Lindsay with what he did to her.
