Lindsay Lohan Interview on Ellen

April 23, 2009 by Arieanna

Lindsay Lohan headed to the Warner Brothers Studios this morning to appear on the Ellen Degeneres Show for her first interview since her very public break-up with Samantha Ronson.

Lindsay Lohan on Ellen, April 23, 2009

Ellen does a good job of diving right into the issue of Lindsay’s very public life in the media and how so much of what is said about Lindsay is untrue. Lindsay tries to be very honest about what is true and what is not, though you can tell she’s flustered. However, Lindsay gets right to the point:

“That whole night was just… was really tough. And I just, you know… it came out of nowhere. And, um, Samantha and I are friends, we’re talking.”

Ellen was surprised that Lindsay & Samantha are still friends, considering that break-ups are hard for anyone, not to mention how much worse it must be in the public eye. Lindsay says she had no idea they were breaking up and that she “had no idea what was going on.” Samantha had been gone for a week before the break-up, so Lindsay seems shocked by it.

Lindsay seems very open to talking about the break-up, though Ellen says she doesn’t have to. Lindsay warns that she may talk too much ;)

So Ellen then dives into the rumors:

  • Cheating - "I don’t believe in cheating", Lindsay says. She did not cheat on Samantha.

    • "I watched my father do that to my mother my entire life, so I really don’t…"
  • Restraining Order - [Lindsay laughs]. "I have no idea. I mean, what am I going to do?" Lindsay has no idea why people would assume she’s dangerous and has done nothing but support Charlotte Ronson (which is true)
  • US Magazine - Lindsay has not spoken with them (for this story), though they and all the other tabloids are calling everyone she knows.
  • Career - Contrary to all the opinions out there, Lindsay is not having a hard time going to meetings or talking with people about projects
  • Clubbing - Is it dangerous for her to be there (with the paparazzi)? Of course, the paparazzi will interpret that, but Lindsay insists that being at a club “doesn’t mean that I’m drinking” or cheating with anyone. She’s going to be with friends and enjoy music.

Lindsay Lohan Returns to Work on Album

November 17, 2008 by Arieanna

In continuation to the first part of the interview that Lindsay Lohan had with Access Hollywood, here is part 2 of that interview. Lindsay starts out this part of the interview talking about the difference between living in NY vs LA, particularly when it comes to the paparazzi:

Lindsay Lohan also talks about her next album, ‘Spirit in the Dark,’ which was originally slated to come out this month. However, Lindsay admits that she put the album on hold. In past albums, she’d rushed through finishing them, and didn’t want to do that here. She felt like juggling filming and music was too much, so waited for the right time to return to her album (which is now):

“I want to be able to focus and balance my life, so I can enjoy each thing as I do it and as it comes.”

Lindsay seems excited about her album, which is good to see. Lindsay also talks a bit about Labor Pains and about recovering her reputation as an actress. She says she loved working on the film. Lindsay also mentions how what she went through has made her a better and happier person now.

Lindsay talks “Labor Pains” - New Scenes!

November 11, 2008 by Arieanna

Lindsay Lohan sat down with Entertainment Tonight to talk about her upcoming film Labor Pains, in which she plays a girl (Thea Clayhill) who pretends to be pregnant in order to avoid being fired from her job. The interview reveals brand new scenes from the film (in addition to the teaser trailer)

As noted yesterday in the Harper’s Bazaar interview, producer of Labor Pains Rick Schwartz has nothing but praise for Lindsay in the film, as did another producer and her co-star earlier this year.

“She delivered on every single thing that she promised me. When the director yells, ‘Action,’ you remember why she’s a movie star. I want to find a role for her — like Nicole Kidman’s in The Hours — that crystallizes her career. I feel like I’m trying to spread the gospel of Lindsay.”

Lindsay Lohan talks politics

November 11, 2008 by Arieanna

Lindsay Lohan sat down to talk with Access Hollywood about her new 6126 Holiday Collection leggings, and leggings in general, but also about politics. Lindsay has been vocal about wanting Barack Obama for president, but makes slip an un-PC reference to him in the interview above as a “colored President.” However, if you brush that aside, Lindsay has great things to say about getting youth out to vote and about Prop 8. Lindsay says she got “chills” during Obama’s speech.

Lindsay also talks in the interview about Ugly Betty, about women’s cancer research, and about why she loves doing movies (Lindsay say she feels “blessed” to be able to be in movies). The second part of the interview should air soon!

Lindsay Lohan “I’ve learned my lesson”

November 5, 2008 by Arieanna

Lindsay Lohan Panda ExpressLindsay Lohan opened up to Extra that she’s grateful for the lessons taught to her by her mistakes:

“I’ve learned my lesson at an early age and I am very thankful for that.”

Lindsay admits that she’s changed her life, and has gone from the clubbing queen to being a homebody. Lindsay admits to watching “a lot of TV”, more than ever before. Samantha alluded, in her blog post, to “Grey’s Anatomy,” so perhaps that’s a show they enjoy.

When asked about her beauty secrets, Lindsay says that sleep is top of that list!

And when asked about her upcoming album, Lindsay Lohan reveals there’s no final release date. Lindsay even says she’ll consider a duet with Ali. That’d be nice!

See the video here to hear Lindsay talk about why she’s sticking with movies, and why movies are so powerful.
