Like so many of us, Lindsay Lohan was very upset by the unexpected death yesterday of Michael Jackson. In homage, Lindsay even changed her Twitter background to be one of Michael’s CDs.

Lindsay’s tweets started with disbelief, then moved to sadness. She wanted people to respect the privacy of Jackson’s family, saying that the news “hurts so much” and leaving this touching tweet:

r.i.p. Michael Jackson *my love and prayers go out to the Jackson family.. “you are not alone” -mj

Lindsay Lohan had trouble sleeping last night (something she blamed on Sam), so she stayed up on her Twitter account leaving some random and cryptic messages. First, apparently the half-naked photo of Lindsay from the Fornarina shoot was tweeted by Ali on her account as a joke.

The next tweets get more personal, including:

“I love being alone. Feels safe coz I can only trust myself…ya, sad. But I’m cool with it that’s y I share it with others in films”

And then Lindsay goes on about cheating, something she is maybe directing at Samantha Ronson? (or is Sr short for ’seriously’?):

“Why do people cheat? When love is always standing right in front of their face (s) ?? Sr?”

Lindsay Lohan is back from NY now, though she hit a delay at the airport due to some thunder storms. However, it looks like Lindsay was out last night and she shared various quotes from Marilyn Monroe that seem to have meaning for her.

“I restore myself when I’m alone”

You could read a lot into this one, but I’m not sure what Lindsay’s intending to say with it. Maybe she just likes the quote!

“I’m selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I’m out of control, but if you can’t handle me at my worst you don’t deserve me at my best.”

Lindsay concludes the last quote by saying, “At least she’s honest- like me :)”.

Update: it looks like Lindsay is still in NY - who knows why she was tweeting about airports!

The paparazzi caught up with Lindsay Lohan last night. The video starts off with the paparazzi mentioning to Lindsay that Samantha said she misses Lindsay. Lindsay responds with “I just saw her, calm down”, confirming reports that she and Samantha are still communicating.

After more prodding, Lindsay continues with “Why wouldn’t she miss me, I love her“, then enters her home. They try to get Dina to talk about Lindsay later, but Dina just tells them to “Shush”, which is good.

Lindsay Lohan threw a housewarming party last night with family and friends. The paparazzi first got in Lindsay’s face as she arrived home that night, asking her if she was drunk. Lindsay is quoted as responding with “I don’t drink alcohol”, then yelling to “go harass Samantha”. Nice!

It looks like the paparazzi then climbed a tree to get footage of the window inside Lindsay’s kitchen, showing Dina Lohan at first, then later Ali arriving home. The family then goes to SLS Hotel. I’m not sure at what point any of that qualifies as a “housewarming party”, but that’s what was said.

Lindsay also posted to her MySpace about her Funny or Die spot, saying “i just think it’s better to take something negative and turn it into something good… laughter is the BEST medicine”

Lindsay Lohan has talked to E! in an exclusive interview. She’s getting quite tired about the incessant questioning of her sobriety, her bank account and her relationship with Samantha Ronson. No doubt, the paparazzi and the press will take any little thing and are constantly questioning her, digging for something remotely negative to spin in the latest gossip.

Lindsay says, “they need to stop saying we’re fighting”, with regards to Samantha Ronson.

“People telling lies about me to her and all this garbage. I’m really a good person and I have a good heart and just want to work. The only reason I go to clubs is to hear Samantha spin or be normal.”

Go Lindsay! We think it’s great that you’re such a supportive girlfriend to Samantha. And we agree - most of what we read about you we know is pure speculation (hence why I try to avoid putting it here!). Lindsay says she doesn’t drink, doesn’t do drugs and she doesn’t lie.

“I love to act and write and be creative, and I want to help people by playing characters that can send a positive message out to whomever may need it.”

Lindsay Lohan had trouble sleeping last night, it would seem.

Late last night, Lindsay Lohan posted to her MySpace blog. The title was “random”, but her ‘currently listening to’ gave more clues to her mood. Lindsay often chooses a song that expresses her mood. This time she chose ‘Head Games‘ by Foreginer (lyrics here).

Although you might think Lindsay is talking about her relationship with Samantha Ronson, when referencing Head Games, but she’s really talking about tabloids and the paparazzi. Lindsay says:

“head games- that’s what the tabloids and pap’s play with everyone …. don’t they? everyone plays games, but it gets to the point sometimes when you just want to know why.. “

I don’t know why, indeed, the tabloids want to see the worst in Lindsay. Why they pick on her so much. She doesn’t seem to know either. So, Lindsay was up late troubled by all the drama, it seems, and watched some Without a Trace again.

For the first time ever, Lindsay Lohan spent her Christmas without her family. Instead, she stayed with girlfriend Samantha Ronson in LA. Lindsay published a very thoughtful post on her MySpace on December 23, talking in rather a melancholy away about family. Lindsay reflects on how the hard things we go through make us stronger in the long run - if we learn from our mistakes.

Her big revelation of the season - that Michael Lohan indeed did father another child!!

“i have gone through a lot in my past, and to be completely honest, i am still going through a lot right now.. my father just let my family and i know, amongst others that he had another child after my little sister Aliana, or maybe he had it before Aliana?? either way, he cheated on my mother and that really sucks… “

Though Lindsay says she doesn’t want to be a “debbie downer” at Christmas, it’s clear she’s taken stock of her life this year. And you know what, let’s applaud that!! Lindsay is correct - the only way to grow as a person (and yes, as an actress too!) is for her to learn from her own mistakes and the mistakes of others. And it sounds like, despite the pain, she’s internalizing a good deal.

In continuation to the first part of the interview that Lindsay Lohan had with Access Hollywood, here is part 2 of that interview. Lindsay starts out this part of the interview talking about the difference between living in NY vs LA, particularly when it comes to the paparazzi:

Lindsay Lohan also talks about her next album, ‘Spirit in the Dark,’ which was originally slated to come out this month. However, Lindsay admits that she put the album on hold. In past albums, she’d rushed through finishing them, and didn’t want to do that here. She felt like juggling filming and music was too much, so waited for the right time to return to her album (which is now):

“I want to be able to focus and balance my life, so I can enjoy each thing as I do it and as it comes.”

Lindsay seems excited about her album, which is good to see. Lindsay also talks a bit about Labor Pains and about recovering her reputation as an actress. She says she loved working on the film. Lindsay also mentions how what she went through has made her a better and happier person now.

Lindsay Lohan opened up to Extra that she’s grateful for the lessons taught to her by her mistakes:

“I’ve learned my lesson at an early age and I am very thankful for that.”

Lindsay admits that she’s changed her life, and has gone from the clubbing queen to being a homebody. Lindsay admits to watching “a lot of TV”, more than ever before. Samantha alluded, in her blog post, to “Grey’s Anatomy,” so perhaps that’s a show they enjoy.

When asked about her beauty secrets, Lindsay says that sleep is top of that list!

And when asked about her upcoming album, Lindsay Lohan reveals there’s no final release date. Lindsay even says she’ll consider a duet with Ali. That’d be nice!
