With all of the time that Ali Lohan has been spending with her older sister Lindsay - going to events, to Hawaii, to parties - and the story that Lindsay is bad for Ali, Dina has been getting a lot of criticism for her parenting skills. Dina is fighting back, with a statement to People:

“I am a single mom of four children, and I devote my life to my children.”

Dina reconfirms that Ali is in a home-schooling program, the very same one that Lindsay was in during her 10th grade and the filming of Mean Girls. Ali began having difficulty at school during the filming of Living Lohan, which is not difficult to believe in. There’s a lot of pressure with being a Lohan!

Dina restates that Lindsay’s not just about clubbing these days. She says Lindsay is “working hard” on her music, her fashion line and everything. Ali has been there to support her, which I have no objections to. I think it’s great that the Lohan girls can be so close. Dina wishes people would just leave their family alone.

Another piece of news! Lindsay sold 100,000 units of her Sevin Nyne spray tanner in ONE DAY at Sephora! That’s amazing!

Dina Lohan talked to ET about Lindsay Lohan’s Funny or Die spoof video, laying claim to it as her idea to do the video. I’m not sure if that was true, but at least Lindsay can lay claim to co-writing the fantastic script:

eHarmony reportedly is happy that Lindsay Lohan chose to use their service in her Funny or Die video, saying:

“We appreciate that Ms. Lohan recognizes eHarmony is the company that single people turn to when they are serious about finding a great long-term relationship. Her parody of our advertising gave us a good laugh.”

ABC has tracked down some image consultants who say that Lindsay poking fun of herself may be a turning point in her career:

“By invoking something like this humor video, I think she has done a very good job at reshaping the momentum of her image, at least giving herself a brand new start.”

What do you think? I personally think that if Lindsay uses this as a jumping off point to get more involved in social media - in Twitter, in MySpace - she can really turn things around.

All three Lohan girls - Dina, Lindsay and Ali - went out last night to the SLS Hotel for the launch of Armani Exchange A/X Watches. They all looked fantastic, with Lindsay outshining them in sheer over-the-top glam.

It was a busy night for all of the Lohan girls. Lindsay Lohan, wearing a familiar outfit with lots of fringe and her leather/jeans jacket was spotted leaving her home carrying a bottle and can of Coke, her beverage of choice (aside from Red Bull, of course).

After her very public break-up with Samantha Ronson this week, or the “break” as Lindsay supposedly calls it, Lindsay Lohan has been finding a great deal of support with her family: mom Dina Lohan and sister Ali Lohan.

People reports that a “source” tells them that Lindsay is upset, but that her family is there for her and she’s focusing on work. Lindsay’s family wants her to focus on herself for a while, to take some “space and time to breathe”, which is a motto Lindsay even has inscribed as a tattoo. Lindsay’s family is there to make sure “she takes care of herself.”

The source says that Lindsay & Sam continue to communicate, though People reports that Sam’s family is trying to keep her away from Lindsay. They also report that Samantha Ronson will not be getting a restraining order against Lindsay, as her family was hoping she would. The source says “Sam had nothing to do with the restraining order” that her family was pursuing, and that Sam doesn’t feel she’s in any danger. She things it’s “absurd”, which I agree with. It sounds more like her family is trying to use the press to distance Sam from Lindsay.

US Weekly reports that Lindsay is humiliated by all the press, and especially by Ronson’s family. Lindsay reportedly talked directly to them, saying it was “absolute hell” and baffled by the events, saying the situation is “sick”. The news seems a little fake, them reporting that Lindsay kept threatening Sam that she’d kill herself if Sam left. So I don’t put much faith in it all. Read more

Lindsay Lohan & her mom Dina were spotted at the Lily Allen concert held last night in LA at the Wiltern Theater. Dina & Lindsay are not in any photos together, however. Dina was seen there with a friend, it looks like, while I have a photo of Lindsay being quickly ushered away in a car after the concert. Reportedly Lindsay, Dina and Lily Allen all headed off to Chateau Marmont after the concert.

Lindsay Lohan was visited by mom Dina and little sister Ali in LA! Together the Lohan girls were seen shopping at Jenni Kayne, one of Lindsay’s favorite stores, then at Dr. Tea’s for some drinks. Samantha Ronson was there too, although she seemed reluctant to come inside when Lindsay went to get her.

Reports indicate that the girls all went to dinner at the Sunset Tower hotel last night, showing a “united front,” so to speak.

And in other candid videos, Lindsay Lohan’s assistant was seen to take Lindsay’s Maserati in to the Platinum Motorsport Body Shop for repairs after the fender bender:

Dina Lohan & Ali Lohan are evidently fans of Project Runway! Ok, I am too. What’s not to like about that show?! Dina & Ali were seen in New York yesterday attending the Project Runway Season 6 Finale Show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

There was a little drama about this finale show since, unlike the previous ones, the finalists showed their collection anonymously. The designers were not associated with the show, a first, in order to prevent spoilers from leaking. However, I would think people who know the designers would get a feel for who the finalists are anyway! Read more

Dina Lohan came to the defense of daughter Lindsay Lohan and her dramatic weight loss. In a new interview for Access Hollywood, Dina Lohan questions why people care about other people’s weight. Although I agree it’s an unhealthy topic to bring up in the news, I think talking about someone who is underweight is more important than the reverse given that young girls look up to figures like Lindsay Lohan as their role models. Dina Lohan says:

“I’m a mom. If I see my daughter a little thin, I say, ‘Eat more McDonalds.’”

Which is apparently what Lindsay’s been doing - eating McDonald’s. But perhaps fatty foods are not the best way to get back Lindsay’s lost muscle mass. Dina continues, admitting that Lindsay’s weight is a topic she monitors closely:

“I told Lindsay I think she’s a little thin. But we go through this every couple of months. My daughter is happy and healthy and that’s all that really matters.”

Go Dina! That’s exactly the right attitude to have. Dina admits that the family is doing its best to avoid negative tabloid attention on this issue, as with others, but I’m glad she’s come out to make a positive statement about it.

After getting behind the wheel just recently, and in a new car at that!, Lindsay had a run-in with the police. And Dina Lohan too has some legal problems this week!

Yesterday Lindsay changed outfits at Sam’s house, and we hear her sweetly thanking the paparazzi for saying she’s beautiful, then the video shifts to Lindsay being pulled over by the police! It looks like she may have gotten a ticket?

And in other legal news, it looks like Dina Lohan is behind on paying her property taxes and, if she doesn’t pay $11.5k by today, she could lose her home!!
