If you didn’t know, Samantha Ronson is in New York as well right now. She was DJ at twin sister Charlotte Ronson’s show, which Lindsay did not attend. Perhaps after the explosion we witnessed on Twitter, Lindsay & Sam have called it quits?

E! is saying that Lindsay & Samantha had a big argument on Monday night, partly about Nicole Richie, who apparently does not like Lindsay.

“Nicole refuses even to be in the same room as Lindsay,” says a source, noting that just last week Nicole invited Sam to a mutual friend’s birthday party at Bar Marmont with the stipulation that she not bring Lindsay. “Sam went to the party, and it really upset Lindsay.”

This is somewhat supported by the fact that Lindsay had tweeted that she wasn’t invited to a party that Sam was going to. E! continues, saying that Samantha had dinner last night with Nicole and that Sam dumped Lindsay that night.

The story at People is slightly different. Their source says that Lindsay & Sam were never officially back together (they were just getting together as friends), but that now it’s definitely over:

“Sam let Lindsay back into her life as a friend, but now even a friendship seems impossible,” says the source. “No matter how many times she promises to change, Lindsay loses control and starts acting like a maniac.”

Meanwhile, perhaps some of the cyrptic tweets were due to Lindsay’s account being hacked? She tweeted that someone has been trying to get onto her page and that she’d never “twitter about [her] personal life.” Perhaps we’ll know more when Lindsay returns to LA (which she’s doing – with Barbara Walters sitting behind her on the plane!).

According to People, Samantha Ronson is doing just fine after her break-up with Lindsay Lohan. Sam’s mother, who wanted to get a restraining order against Lindsay, says that Sam is doing “great” and is keeping to herself. She doesn’t make any statement about Lindsay, knowing her place this time.

People also reports that a friend of Sam & Lindsay says both are doing great and that this could just end up being a “little break” for the couple. Only time will tell. There is another news report that Sam is saying the break-up was more amicable than the media reports, but I have no idea the origins of the statement.

The report indicates that Samantha & Lindsay are still talking, with Sam “begging” Lindsay to get help. The source says Lindsay is very insecure and has relied on her relationship with Sam to build her up.

“Lindsay barely sleeps, which explains a lot of her behavior. She’s exhausted. She can’t even sit down for a minute without pacing around the room. It’s really sad.”

I know Lindsay doesn’t have a “sit-still” personality. I think you need a touch of ADD to get ahead in Hollywood.

The report chronicles Lindsay’s efforts to keep herself busy in the last week, from trips to chateau Marmont to clubbing at Bar Delux (there’s a video here of Lindsay’s Friday night, and a cute photo here.). They also talk about how Sam has craved Lindsay’s erratic behavior, and how Lindsay has found a huge amount of support from younger sister Ali Lohan. I hope this last part is true:

“Lindsay never realized until this happened how important her sister was to her,” the friend says. Through all of this, her sister has been there for her and coaching her through it. Lindsay doesn’t even know what she would have done without her.”

People reports that a “source” tells them that Lindsay is upset, but that her family is there for her and she’s focusing on work. Lindsay’s family wants her to focus on herself for a while, to take some “space and time to breathe”, which is a motto Lindsay even has inscribed as a tattoo. Lindsay’s family is there to make sure “she takes care of herself.”

The source says that Lindsay & Sam continue to communicate, though People reports that Sam’s family is trying to keep her away from Lindsay. They also report that Samantha Ronson will not be getting a restraining order against Lindsay, as her family was hoping she would. The source says “Sam had nothing to do with the restraining order” that her family was pursuing, and that Sam doesn’t feel she’s in any danger. She things it’s “absurd”, which I agree with. It sounds more like her family is trying to use the press to distance Sam from Lindsay.

US Weekly reports that Lindsay is humiliated by all the press, and especially by Ronson’s family. Lindsay reportedly talked directly to them, saying it was “absolute hell” and baffled by the events, saying the situation is “sick”. The news seems a little fake, them reporting that Lindsay kept threatening Sam that she’d kill herself if Sam left. So I don’t put much faith in it all.

Michael Lohan chimed up saying “Thank God” the break-up happened, since the relationship was “toxic.” Way to support, Dad.

Lindsay was seen at Shamrock Tattoo today, and Lindsay, wearing a cute summer dress, was seen with Ali at Roseark jewelry shop yesterday. Later that day she was spotted all in smiles at an underground parkade – so perhaps she’s doing well!

Lindsay is reported to have told E! that she and Samantha Ronson “are taking a brief break” so that Lindsay can focus on herself. Lindsay say the decision was made on Monday morning following a rough weekend, though it appears now that Samantha was not behind Lindsay being barred from Charlotte’s party. Reports indicate Sam & Lindsay spent time with each other that night and that Sam’s family & friends have been engaged in a “smear campaign” against her.

Charlotte Ronson and mom Ann Dexter-Jones were said to have gone to the police department on Monday seeking information about how to get a restraining order against Lindsay. No papers have been filed yet and it’s not clear if Samantha knew her family was there or not.

Lindsay Lohan & Samantha Ronson have been dating for more than a year. Despite all the rumors, I truly believe that Samantha was a good influence on Lindsay in a time of her life when she needed it. And in turn, I believe Lindsay supported Sam too, by going to her events, traveling with her, and, it now seems, making sure she stayed comfortable and healthy and happy.

Meanwhile, Michael Lohan is telling the media that he’s there for Lindsay and has “cleared his schedule” to go meet her in LA. I’m not sure if having her parents together will do Lindsay any good, but I do hope she has nothing but love and support around her if the break-up is indeed true.

In random gossip, Radar is reporting that Lindsay lost her sorrows in a bottle on Monday night. But there’s no evidence that any “source” was accurate on this one.

Let’s start with the “big night”, which supposedly ended up with Lindsay moving to Chateau Marmont. To start off with, this video shows Lindsay leaving the hotel at 3:32am, going to McDonald’s, and being hounded by the paparazzi about the breakup rumors and the locksmith Samantha got. Poor Lindsay.

When they asked if Lindsay & Sam broke up, Lindsay told them “it’s none of your business”. She goes on to say “I love Samantha, not Charlotte. Charlotte’s not nice to me,” perhaps in reference to being banned from Charlotte’s party.

Here in the garage, Lindsay yells at the paparazzi, who are invading her space and “scaring her” by being too close. Lindsay, in tears, yells at them because they won’t leave her alone and wants to live her life and pursue her career. She sounds frustrated. When she finally got out of the car, it was with her face covered:

In this video, Dina and Ali come to pick up Lindsay and take her to two residences to pick up her things. They then go to McDonalds again, with Lindsay trying to get the paparazzi to go away:

In this video, we see confirmation that Samantha Ronson did indeed change her locks. Whether this is for security purposes or to keep Lindsay out is still rumor:

OK Magazine is speculating that the break-up may have ocurred as early as March 25th, when Lindsay was seen out with both mom Dina and sister Ali. That said, Lindsay denied the rumors on April 1st.

Rumor has it that this weekend, Lindsay Lohan tried to show up at the I Heart Ronson launch but was banned from the party. Rumor has it the Ronson family did not want Lindsay there and, when she did arrive, security guards restrained her from entering.

The NY Daily News is reporting that Samantha Ronson had her locks changed at her house on Saturday, hours after this party incident. A source says:

“I’m sure Lindsay and Sam are over. Sam’s family wants her to get away from Lindsay – they think she’s completely nuts!”

There are alternate rumors that Lindsay Lohan was the one to dump Samantha, after Lindsay may or may not have used Twitter to accuse Samantha of cheating: “I was right all along. Cheat. Being cheated on does wonders to you.” This was said to have happened after Lindsay was banned from the bash.

All I can say right now is that there are LOTS of rumors, some of them conflicting, and all of them still just that: rumors. Wait until you hear from Lindsay before you draw any conclusions.

Here’s another music suggestion from Lindsay’s MySpace: the song ‘Sunday’ by Sia, a song Lindsay describes as “pretty.”

Despite all the continued rumors about the break-up, Lindsay kept an otherwise quiet profile on the weekend, hardly seen about town (aside from the trip to Dr. Tea with Ali, as shown above) and not posting much to her blog.

In other news, Samantha Ronson’s brother Mark Ronson (who is also a DJ) is reported to have said that he thinks Lindsay & Samantha should break up:

“Mark doesn’t think Lindsay is right for his little sister.”

Still, I have absolutely no idea how true any of this is. Perhaps they did break up, and Lindsay can’t admit it yet. Or perhaps it’s all just gossip, and Lindsay is telling the truth by saying they’re still together. Only time will tell.

PerezHilton went on CBS to say that his inside sources say that Lindsay Lohan & Sam Ronson have broken up. That Lindsay is denying it publicly right now, but that Lshe’s moved out.

Meanwhile, Samantha Ronson was spotted back in LA on January 10th (just returned from Washington) and was quite sombre as she headed home from being DJ for the night at Echo Club:
