Samantha Ronson talks about Lindsay

For the first time, Samantha Ronson has made a (short) mention about Lindsay Lohan, though she and Lindsay both stay private about their relationship. Sam made the public mention of Lindsay in a Harper’s Bazaar feature entitled "The Royal Ronsons".
The article involves an interview with Samantha, Mark and Charlotte Ronson, all of whom lead very active lifestyles. Mark, a music producer & musician. Charlotte a fashion designer. And Samantha (twin to Charlotte), a DJ & singer/songwriter.
On the topic of Lindsay, Samantha is tight-lipped in her statement:
"I’m not going to talk about Lindsay because she’s my friend, you know? She’s great. She’s also 22 years old. I think people forget that. With the Internet the way it is, one second we’re enemies, one second we’re best friends, one second we’re lovers, and then we’re broken up."
Samantha says she is accustomed to the rumor mills and is constantly bombarded by random people asking if the gossip of her and Lindsay is true. She won’t say more than that. Lindsay, who was asked by Harper’s Bazaar to comment on Samantha & the Ronsons for the article, replied with:
"I love the Ronsons. They’re close to my heart and I respect all the work they do. Samantha and my relationship is a private matter."

Yep, that definetly proves that they are more then just friends. But there is no way i can be happy for her. Actually it can only make me wanna cry. LL was never a lesbian and never will be. All the things that happened to her and all she’s been through messed up her life and her mind totally. It is just incredible how the most wondrefull girl ever can end up like this. It’s heartbraking.
They definately have a unique and beautiful relationship. And it is a private matter and Lindsay doesn’t want to talk about it because for once she has something stable. I’m happy for both of them and I hope this year continues to be good for Lindsay.

Here is my two cents:
I think that it is interesting how Samantha and Lindsay phrased their wording concerning what is going on between them. Samantha says that she isn’t going to talk about Lindsay because she is her friend. Then, Lindsay says in her email that “Samantha and my relationship is private matter.”
I don’t think that they are putting any labels on what is going on between them. It’s just is. For me, it is impressive. I think that they are thinking of each other, as foremost, best friends. Whatever else that they do between each other is a private matter. Whose business is it if they are just friends or more than just friends? I think that Samantha and Lindsay are smart to try and not to involve the media in their relationship as much as possible. Look what happens to celebrities’ relationships in the spotlight. The constant suffocating and drenching of the spotlight really damages some of these celebrities relationships. If you think about it, most celebrities have only a few private moments; all the personal moments that they have…paparazzi and others exposed them. So, I think that Samantha and Lindsay just want to have control over their relationship/affairs instead of media get control over them.
If you look at all these clips/videos, they hardly have any privacy. I am sure that it has been more difficult for Sam than Lindsay because if you look at Sam’s history, paparazzi didn’t even notice her until she was starting to be seen more with Lindsay. Now, neither can have a private life, but I think that Sam is really cool about it, too. I speculate that it bothers her sometimes, but if it really did, she would have ditched Lindsay a long time ago, and she hasn’t.
Far and foremost, Sam, above all of it, is being Lindsay’s true friend. I think that is why Lindsay loves her. She loves her because Sam loves Lindsay unconditionally. If she didn’t, she would have left Lindsay like a lot of Lindsay’s so called other friends/acquaintances have.
And you can’t help who you fall in love with, either. From my standpoint, it is nothing wrong with being in homosexual or bisexual. I don’t think that Lindsay’s head is messed up, either. From what I can see, Lindsay has really pulled herself together this year. I can tell because she surrounds herself with only a few people who really cares about her. Look at her now and look at her in the past. She was surrounded by a lot of people, and the majority of those people didnt’ care for her I suspect. Now, the people that you see her with…Patrick, Samantha, her personal assistant…these are people who have been really there for her, and that’s the people she hangs with. I am proud of her for that…because I rather have a few faithful/loyal friends than a lot of losers who don’t give a shyt about it me when I really do need them!
wtf franky – 21 can’t you be happy for lindsay because she sure is happy with sam and if you were a real fan you would not be a hater you just except it.

i think people should respect them!! lindsay look so happy everytime she is with sam so i personal think she is bisexual cause she had past boyfriends but if she likes girls or boys is like she said: it;s a private matter!!!! i just wich them the best and she deserved someone good and lovely and someone who protect her like sam!! so ROHAN ROCKS!!!!:P

L&E you are so right!!! I agree with you 100 percent. Lindsay doesn’t have to hold a press conference to announce she’s in a relationship with a woman. AND WHY SHOULD SHE?
The fact that both women are careful with phrasing their quotes for the media only proves that they respect each other. Lindsay won’t sell her relationship to the tabloids. If Lindsay did come out and say that she was in a romantic relationship with Sam then the media would speculate that it’s all for publicity. Now that Lindsay is keeping quiet, the public is playing is she/or isn’t she. She can’t win.
Actions speak louder than words. Lindsay is happiest and most content when Sam is with her. It doesn’t take a genius to comprehend that they’re in a commited relationship that is healthy and stable. It’s sad that people who claim to be fans have such negativity toward Lindsay’s relationship with Sam. Who cares? She’s still Lindsay Lohan. The beautiful, complex, charming, talented Lindsay Lohan. Who she dates doesn’t change anything!

I agree with you 100%; I think that Lindsay has respect for herself now, and she realizes that keeping a private life is more important than anything that she continues to do in her life. Lindsay isn’t stupid; she’s very smart, and I believe that this young woman has grown wiser from her experiences. She knows that saying anything in public is going to chip away at her relationships. Sometimes, it is better to keep silent than to speak. Paparazzi are looking for any reason to make money off of you, and they twist the truth most of the time. Many people are fascinated about Samantha and Lindsay because of Lindsay’s past relationships that revolved around men.
I don’t think that Lindsay is with Samantha just because she is a woman. I think that she is with Samantha because Samnantha lets her be herself. I only see that Samantha is supporting good changes in her behavior. Out of all the people that Lindsay USED to hang around, how many of them do we still see now–hardly any of them.
As Lindsay said in one of her inteviews several months ago, she responded that she has had to grow up fast in this industry. I think that she became an alcoholic/drug user because of the pressures of Hollywood. She was working herself to death in the past. I think that she was using narcotics to help her with her stress. Yet, we all have deep problems that need to be worked on…and I think that she had many internal issues with family, friends, and work. That’s a lot of pressure on a young woman. You think about it…her mistakes in her life was magnified ten times worse as any young woman in America. Like I said before, I remember when I was in my early twenties and made mistakes, too. Not to degree as Lindsay’s, but I have made mistakes…and at least my mistakes were not publicize by the media for them to tear me apart in shreds.
So, if Samantha is good at serving Lindsay’s ego…and I don’t mean ego as giving Lindsay a big head…I mean ego as in making her happy that she is able to be herself, good for Samantha. I really don’t think Samantha has any investment of hurting Lindsay or any hidden agendas. I think that she enjoys her companionship and makes Lindsay feel like herself when everyone else is trying to trash her in the media.
L&E…nice comment,agree with you,and i want to stress to everyone,that you have to remember where Lindsay was last year at this time,and where she is today,so obviously her relationship with samantha,whatever that may be,is very beneficial for her self-worth,self-esteem,and value as an individual,not to mention keeping her focused and balanced in career and personal life. i believe that samantha has had a great impact on Lindsays well-being the last few months,as Lindsay still seemed a bit lost in the ‘riley episode’ months,following her leaving the cirque lodge,so i am quite willing to let these ladies have their privacy,and a little mystery is always a good thing. also,Lindsays smile literally glows when she is with samantha,that’s good enough for me. keep her smiling,sam. peace
