OK Photoshoot a Hoax
Well, I don’t know if I can call the NY Post a good source - probably about as much as you can call OK Magazine a reputable source - but they are now claiming that the Lindsay Lohan pictures that appeared in OK Magazine were not an exclusive photoshoot, as they claimed, but more along the lines of what they seem - long range photos of Lindsay taken by someone within rehab, then sold to the press.
Lindsay Lohan will be looking good in case there are any more "exclusive" photos of her in rehab. A spy in celebrity hairdresser Ken Paves’ salon said, "Ken sent someone out to Utah to do Lindsay’s extensions this week." Lohan was the subject of an OK! magazine "exclusive photo shoot" several weeks ago that wasn’t sanctioned by the starlet. "Someone on the premises of the rehab took pictures of her and sold them. She didn’t know about it, and it was a violation," a friend said. A rep for Lohan didn’t know about her hairdressing.
That’s really ill mannered of OK Magazine. It’s one thing to show the pictures, it’s quite another to claim they are sanctioned by Lindsay.

I don’t know what they told you but the article doesn’t say it was a authorized photo session. If it was done by stealth then it really does give us a honest picture of Lindsay in rehab. It does show her participating in the rehab process by reading the big book (of AA) and meditating as claimed. It seems Lindsay is just upset that she isn’t made up to look glamorous. She needs to chill of this one as it was a very favorable article. Just take a look at what is in the STAR on Aug 13 if you want to see an objectionable article!

its not the article that everyone is a little teed off about,its that the trashloid mag is trying to make it seem as if Lindsay really isn’t that serious in rehab,that she is still seeking publicity and using her stay as a spa/vacation/stunt.don’t you know that all these trahloids are owned reston publishing,a subsidiary of rupert murdock/fox.i do my research.all the trashloids have the same agenda,some outright mean,others sneaky and backdoor.Lindsay had nothing at all to do with this ‘photoshoot/interview’.the trashloid did say’interview’ on the cover,so they lied as usual.so they said a couple of good things,it doesn’t make up for the craptacular drivel they have printed in the past.get well,miss Lindsay.love always,a huge fan and friend.peace

there are three things that i look at when i am online,pittsburgh steelers football,all things Lindsay Lohan,and anything movie related,not necessarily in that order,so it stands to reason that i know a little something about my favorite movie star.Lindsay does NOT use this paves fella,so the whole j.simp/paves hair extension crap is just that,crap,more garbage perpetrated by the trashloids during a slow period of LL ‘exclusives’.she always uses that george somebody in LA.why would she fly someone in that just going to tell all kinds of stories,and anyway,cirque rehab has been given some direction by the court as her temporary probation authority,so they would highly frown on this alleged activity.all these stories come from the same ’scources’,all paid liars and story fabricators from the trashloid media,i.e. star,ok,us weekly and others of this ilk.get well,miss Lohan.love always,a huge fan and friend.peace

I think you two are overstating things just a bit. Obviously tabloid media coverage isn’t the Wall Street Journal. It deals in rumors as much as facts. However, it is a source of raw data that does contain some useful information. This information should never be accepted uncritically. Most of what we know about celebrities comes from these sources and it all isn’t wrong.
A lot of the attacks on OK seem strange in that this was totally positive story. It never claimed to be an exclusive interview. It never directly quoted Lindsay on anything. It was based admittedly on hearsay from a “friend” of Lindsay’s and comments from people in stores that she visited on her outings. She went outside and a photographer took some pictures.
Now Dave has a good point that since Lindsay has been in rehab information is very limited do to confidentiality rules and agreements. So a claim that Lindsay failed a drug test would be likely to be unreliable because this information would be closely held by the staff…confidentiality. How she reacted to having to take the test in the directors office would be unknown one would think. I considered this suspect and wasn’t the first to mention it here. It also seems strange that this was supposed to have happened the day before a series of her being photographed in public outings on Aug 16-21. It didn’t seem to effect the plea deal either and if that had really happened!!! That’s the way I evaluate the tabloid raw data. In this case I agree with Dave …CRAP.
Now Ms. Rice’s lawsuit has been filed but the Three Stooges suit has not been filed. The former is a TBD but I doubt it will be a big win for Rice. What were her damages? I think that it is notable that the TMZ-3 haven’t filed. I’ve speculated that their big payday might have been the money they got from TMZ and that their lawyer’s role was to make that deal and advise them on what to say rather than to go after Lindsay in court. Is it possible that they really don’t want face the light of day? What really was their role at that party anyway? We probably will never know.
The one with the Paparazzi in New York was good with Lindsay on tape saying: “I hit him! I really hit him!” Not the best thing to say but I think he faked it and I doubt that will turn into anything. In some ways she is just sooooo honest.
One thing that we need to consider is that the relationship of any celebrity to the paparazzi and the tabloids is a real “hate-love” thing! On the one had they will do the most negative things including assure that you are arrested (May 26)! On the other had I’m sure if they really did leave her complexly alone she would want them back as being in the news means there is a market for you product (movies, CDs).
