Michael Lohan thinks prescription drugs are killing Lindsay

I don’t understand Lindsay Lohan’s father Michael Lohan.
One week he appears to be helping Lindsay, and the next, he’s shooting her down again. Supposedly, Lohan was concerned about photos of her he’s seen from the Ungaro fashion show on Sunday.
In an interview with RadarOnline.com, Lindsay’s dad, said he wants to get her off the prescription drugs, basically saying she’s headed down the wrong path.
“I’m going to get her off the prescription drugs that she’s on,” Lohan said in the interview. “I hate it when people talk about illegal drug abuse… because it’s not just drinking and illegal drugs that kill you. Prescription drugs can destroy and kill a person and are sometimes harder to stop. Look at Heath Ledger and Michael Jackson.”
Lohan didn’t specify what medications he believes his daughter is abusing, but says they have taken over her life. I just wonder what prompted this effort by him.
“You know why Lindsay’s not acting in feature films right now? Because she can’t,” Michael Lohan told RadarOnline.com. “Because the girl with all the talent is hidden and buried deep inside this fungus that’s grown because of the prescription drugs. She can’t be herself. When you hug her she’s like, vacant inside. When she kisses or holds me I get chills, and not in a good way-in a bad way.”
Um, Lindsay just finished shooting scenes for a movie called Machete. And she’s been working as Ungaro’s artistic advisor. It’s not like she’s been sitting around!
Lohan, who spent time with Lindsay after the break-in to her Hollywood Hills home, said he was shocked by how much she has changed. But I think the real question is has he changed? Or is he the same “dad” that uses the media to get attention instead of being a father to Lindsay.
He seems to be soaking in the media attention. I wonder if that’s because he is hoping to get his reality TV series Divorced Dads Club possibly with his friend Jon Gosselin off the ground?
“She’s a different person. I was out there for a week when she was living at the Sunset Marquis Hotel and I would sit there and cry. It was horrible. This was not the kid I raised,” Lohan told RadarOnline.com.
Lohan says he’s speaking out now because he’s worried about Lindsay’s health and fears she is being taken advantage of by others.
“I don’t care what anyone says about Lindsay. The Lindsay Lohan I lived with when I was married was a focused, intelligent, gifted girl that needed no prescription medication, no assistance from a therapist. Whoever the people are that came into her life and convinced her otherwise should be thrown in jail, because they’re the same type of people who are responsible for the deaths of Heath Ledger, Michael Jackson and DJ AM,” Lohan said. “Everything was fine in our family until Dina and I got divorced. And that’s when all the kids’ lives started to unravel… including Lindsay’s.”
It’s great that Michael Lohan is concerned about his daughter, but we have to doubt his sincerity because of his timing. And the comment about “everything was fine” until the divorce? Get real. And I really don’t think this interview is going to build his trust with his daughter – I think this will push her away. So how does he plan to help her then?

I think it’s wrong for Michael to speak to tabloids about Lindsay’s issues, but I can see there might be a seed of truth in what he’s saying. Look at Lindsay: her weight, the look in her eyes and on-going partying. She doesn’t look as happy and vital like she used to look before. She looks tired, her makeup is sometimes not so flattering and her smile looks from time to time kinda empty. She doesn’t have that sparkle in her eyes like she used to have. Don’t get me wrong, I love Lindsay and wish all the best for her, but I don’t think everything is right with her at the time. I hope she finds a way to be happy again and maybe takes some time off to work on her issues. Get well Lindsay, I love you!

firstly drugs are drugs u take from the doctor or u take from the some body else it simply harms u & its like a sweet poision & whats your problem , okay what its give to u nothing if it gives something to u & your problem is solved by the drugs than than i also tell to u never take it forever & secondly the person that love u the most if he want some favour from u is leave these kinds of habit than i sure on 14th february which i told u earlier comes to u to hug u forever & iloveu
Lily, i agree. but i dont think Mr Michael Lohan said those things because he is worried about Lindsay. He said it cuz he wants the media attention. At moments like this, im glad my dad is not around (my mom and my dad are divorced and i dont see him)
uuhhh i feel so sorry for linds. I luv lindsay but i do not see the same funny vibriant person lindsay once was. I still feel she has so much to offer but no matter what she does people want to drag her down and it must be so tough and stressful for her and sometimes this kinda public pressure can take so much out of us! I feel also that her relationship with samantha hangs by a thread and she needs her so much to look after her.. I feel samantha needs to give her security that she wishes so much and be there for her if she loves her. I don,t know about their relationship but Lindsay is so insecure and its worrying to see lindsay like this as I don,t want something bad to happen to her. for media attention or not ..lindsay is not okay. you can see it in her face in the last videos in paris .
Lindsay is a strong woman and I pray she’ll surpass all these negativity in her life. There are some hurtful people out there and I hope Lindsay finds strength from her family and close friends. Take care Lindsay. Your fans love you!!
some trashloids claim that LL is on crystal meth,lol,others say it is precription drugs,but really the whole trashmedia/trashnet are mad because Lindsay has moved out of her house,is not really accessible anymore in her personal life,as in paps camped out in her driveway and garage,and she seems to be quite busy in her professional life,with movies,fashion,appearences,possible work on her long awaited third album,no current drama with the lovelife,so they have to make up some garbage to try and keep their cashcow in the news,for the pathetic,negativity-loving masses who buy the trashmags. despicable lowlife trashmedia,grrrr…

Michael Lohan spent a week with Lindsay and he “cried”. If he was so worried why did he leave her? Furthermore, during that week, Lindsay had just been robbed, her belongings put in storage and was living in a hotel! That would be disturbing to anyone. As for Lindsay being vacant, maybe she just didn’t want to embrace this poor excuse for a father.
Just when Lindsay was getting things back on track he starts his usual nonsense, please remember people he has said things like this in the past about Dina and Samantha. But now according to him now they are wonderful!
Lindsay has put on weight and is looking much better. She just finished Machete, completed the F1 Rocks in Singapore where she did interviews, presenting and photo shoots. She moved onto Paris and worked VERY hard on the Ungaro collection and hopefully starts a new movie later this month. If anything I think Lindsay is working too hard. papers in the UK said she looked sensational whilst walking the catwalk. For every bad photo, there are ten showing the opposite.
I believe Michael Lohan is using his daughter once again for his own purposes, publicity!!!! and its about time it stopped. Has he forgotten he has two daughters? If Lindsay is in such a bad way, why is he letting Ali spend all her time with Lindsay?? I do think Ali should go home to Dina, Lindsay is not her mother and Michael Lohan is a terrible father.
The Lindsay haters are certainly jealous and angry and insecure.
However some you Lindsay fans seem to have just as much hate for her parents.
Lindsay is trying to get along with her dad although it’s difficult.

I disagree with u dukesr, as for me i love and support Lindsay but i think her dad is an asshole! Maybe ur not familiar with things he’d done in the past because if u do im sure you’d have a different saying. I understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinion but all the comments above clearly came out of love for Lindsay not ‘hate’ as u claim..
