“Living Lohan” Website Launch
E! has finally pulled together a website for "Living Lohan", and it’s gorgeous! The logo for the show is a clevel combination with the camera lense, and the photograph of Ali and Dina is great. I love the mirror action - like they’re viewing their own lives.

The new website features cast bios of Dina, Ali, Cody and Nana, a gallery of photos and more.
Tune in on May 27th at 10pm to see "Living Lohan" premiere on E!

Yeah… this show does not look like much fun. I watched the sneak peek video on the site (you may have to change the country to view the video) and it was about Dina learning about some Lindsay rumor and calling her lawyers. Handled properly, this could have been fun, but it wasn’t. Not in that clip, anyway.
The show might gain a following thanks to Lindsay’s popularity for a little while, but that will flag quickly once they realized
A) Lindsay is not on the show.
B) Lindsay will not be on the show
C) Dina is not very likable.
I can’t speak for Ali or Cody based on the sneak peek, but Dina does not come across as very likable. The only way this show will float is if there’s more dimension to these people, but it looks too much like naked reality. Real people are boring, which is why a lot of these reality shows are semi-scripted. They made Ozzy Osbourne memorize lines, for goodness sakes!
This show could be good if it showed the wacky home life of the Lohans, but it seems more intent of showing the reality of their lives. Personally, I don’t really care. I don’t care what Dina Lohan does as a mother and a manager. She would work better as a comic foil, Where her crazy scheming causes more trouble than it solves. But she doesn’t seem to want to do that.
The simple fact here seems to be that she takes herself way too seriously to be able to let people laugh at her which is not a formula for good television. All I know is Ozzy let people laugh at him. So did Gene Simmons. But Dina Lohan doesn’t do that.
That all said, I am judging the entire show on a few seconds of video. Maybe the commercials only have the crap and all of the stuff they should have are in the rest of the show. Ali hasn’t been seen much, so maybe she really sparkles and makes the show. I haven’t seen Cody in a clip at all, maybe he’s more entertaining than a bus load of dancing girls and pie.
But, I can only judge based on what I see, and what I’ve seen so far is not very good.

OPIE you’re right Dina isn’t very likable. And the show doesn’t look like much fun. I have a feeling we’ll be seeing more Dina than Ali.

This was an excellent interview. The reporter asked questions that should have been asked and Dina could not answer honestly. There’s no skirting around the issue that Lindsay was arrested, in jail, and had three stints in rehab. As for Ali - all these promotional interviews only prove that she lacks the charisma that Lindsay once had and has completely wasted.

I dont get why everybody hates dina so much. I am always in the 3% group with people who like something that is disliked by everyone else. LOL. But, I just look at it like this. what did she do? she raised lindsay, helped make a career, took her to all those auditions and photoshoots and when she felt linds was ready, she sent her off to hollywood to furfill her dreams. Lindsay made the mistakes herself! it was her dumb decision to do drugs and hang with older people who were wilder than her. of course hollywood is really a sort off dangerous place and good for messing up the sweet and innocent types, but who’s fault is that? yeah dina could’ve move the house out there, but she was trying to let lindsay leave the nest and grow up. But she just made mistakes like every other young adult does at her age. they just do really stupid stuff! not all, but most! and its actually not always the parents fault. In this case I don’t think it was dina’s fault what happend to linds and what she went through. or micheals.(ok maybe a little of his! LOL) or actually anyones. at the end of the day, It’s all just lindsay’s fault. her enviorment (family life) wasn’t perfect, but people have to make themselves grow from that. All of the people who grow up in homes with with drug addicts do not become drug addicts. they’re actually successful and lead normal lives. In all, I just think it was lindsay in that “phaze” of her life. she probably just wanted to be rich, beautiful, and careless. who would’nt wanna be like that for a while? LOL. she has so much time to be come a serious actress! her college years are just what I like to call the whole thing. which the whole world loved to watch and was very entertained by because shes better than your average college girl. shes an extremely hot, rich, talented, world-famous college girl who alot of people are really jealous of, so thats why she was so fascinating. I mean shes a movie star! so I guess its fun to watch her do crazy stuff. But I just dont no what dina did. she didn’t really party every night with linds. I saw one tape of her out with linds at party on new years. thats all. the rest of the times they said she partied with linds every night is crap because, 1. she lives all the way across the country. not possible. so…I dont no what else there is to hate dina for. I don’t believe shes some crazy stage mom like the media makes her out to be. Im sorry, I just can already tell that by seeing a few clips of her. hey, they say real recognizes real, and I definitley no Im real so thats probably why I like dina, lindsay and ali. but she seems like loving mother who just wants her kids to be happy and be what they want to be. I like her personality. I think she doesn’t take any crap and shes strong. she is definitley where lindsay gets her toughness from. I think shes nice to. and funny. I don’t no, Im just nice, I guess. but like I said, I’ll be watching every episode for sure! I dont care what anyone says, the show looks good and really funny. its about ali anyways really, not dina. and I like ali. I just like all of them. they’re real.

i agree with tinkerbell. ’nuff said.
without dina, we don’t have this fansite for LL, we don’t have a freckled-face star, we don’t have anyone to “worship” here.

Tinkerbell, Dina Lohan wanted to be famous, but didn’t. She wanted to be someone like Lindsay, but couldn’t. She helped Lindsay, yes true, but Lindsay went far because of her OWN talent. There are lots of stage moms out there pimping kids with little or no talent and their children don’t make it far despite their persistence. Dina is strong, she’s smart, and persistent, but Lindsay did it on her own.
To answer your question people don’t like Dina because she seems to ride on her daughter’s coat tails. Remember when Dina took cameras in Wonderland rehab where Lindsay was recovering? Who would do that?
Dina is quick to talk in front of the cameras. She loves the attention. It’s not hard to understand that. What bothers me about Dina the most is that she always uses the excuse “you don’t know what my family has been through.” I understand that her ex-husband wasn’t a peach, but you’d think that Dina would shield her children from the spotlight and perhaps provide them some normalcy. Ok, Ali wants to be a star, why do a reality show and put your kids out there?
Ali is just a child. I know, looking at her it’s hard to accept she’s only 14. She looks older. Ali doesn’t make her own decicsions. It’s her mother making the decisions. It’s her mother needing the show. It’s her mother loving the camera. You know what bugged me the most: Dina is Lindsay’s manager, when a reporter asked Dina about Lindsay’s appearance in the N.E.R.D. video Dina said she didn’t know anything about it. What kind of manager doesn’t know what her client is up to? Dina just seems to always contradict herself.

Janie, WORD to your post. I agree with especially with how some celebrities’ parents pimped them out.
Look at Michael Jackson. Joe Jackson has always said that he saw real talented in his kids and had to make them work harder, yet when Michael Jackson went out on his own, he became even bigger than the Jackson 5! BUT look at what happened to Michael Jackson as a result of Joe’s “discipline.” The guy went loony as hell and has been exhibiting weird behavior since.
Some parents tend to live through their children, and it is not healthy. Like I said before, I don’t know Dina like that, but as a person from the outside who is entitled to give her opinion because Dina publicizes her life, I will say that I wouldn’t make that kind of decision if I was a mother. If anything, I wouldn’t want my children to be in the spotlight.
And maybe wrong, but Dina has never admitted to actually being one of the actual factors in why Lindsay turned to drugs. No, I am not saying that it’s Dina’s fault that Lindsay turned to drugs, but I am saying that I am sure that Lindsay turned to drugs because of all her familial problem at home. Good example of this: the song on her second album that became a single: “Confessions of a Broken Heart.” We all know that actually happened in the Lohan’s home…and that’s how Lindsay and Ali really felt about what was going on with Dina and Michael. I think that Michael and Dina have no room to talk about their 21 year old daughter. I agree with Janie. I really believe that Lindsay is the one who is the successful…and has came up with her success. Sure, Dina helped her become successful when she was a child..but I don’t think that Dina solely makes Lindsay’s business decisions anymore…I actually think that Lindsay does it.
If Ali wants to have a career in signing and acting and Dina wants to help her, that’s fine, but to broadcast it on national television for all the world to see their lives…I just don’t think it is healthy for a 14 year old girl especially a girl that comes from a controversial family.

Thanks L&E, I’m glad you understand what I’m trying to say. For someone who say they can’t stand the media scrutiny, Dina certainly courts them.
Dina, inviting the cameras inside your home and exposing your children’s hopes and dreams and fears on air won’t clear up any misconceptions about you. In fact, it just makes you look like a fame hungry stage mom.

I wasn’t trying to start a Dina Lohan hate-on. All I was saying is that as a television show character, as seen in the clip on the website, she isn’t very likable. If it was a fictional show with an actress playing a fictional character, I would say the same thing. It may be premature to judge the entire show based on a brief clip, but if the whole show is like that, I would not be coming back week after week to watch because I find the character unappealing.
Pity she isn’t playing a fictional character but just being herself. This suggests that she’s not the sort of person I would enjoy being around and would take pains to avoid at the office Christmas party

Opie,
I totally understand where you were coming from. I don’t think that you tried to instigate a Dina Lohan hating fest.
I think that Dina would say that she is a mother that exhibits tough love, but when you got the media not on your side, she may look like a hungry fame mom who wants to live her dreams out through her daughters. I am not saying that is what she is…I am just saying how other people are going to perceive her when this reality show airs.
I did watch the interview that Dina and Ali participated in on Showbiz Tonight. I must say that Ali certainly does have her mom traits…particularly when people are talking about her family. Ali seems like a very outspoken young girl, BUT I hope that those traits don’t result into the media twisting them around.
I, personally, wouldn’t set the media straight by starring in a television reality show. Sure, you have people like the Kardishines whose reality show is GREAT…because their personalities are evanescence and active, and they are able to pull of the show because they are a close knit family…and it actually works. I don’t really see Kim, Courtney, or Chole’s mother as being someone who wants to help her daughter’s career. I mean she does help her daughters’ careers, but she doesn’t meddle into it. Besides that, the K-sisters became famous and well-known because they started their own business in California.
I am not against children wanting to act and sing…but I am against you trying to make them into big stars. Plus, the fact of the matter Lindsay is the huge star in the family, and Ali can’t see it, but it is really difficult for another sibling to rival or exceed the high expectations provided by the other sibling. I think that this is a bad idea…and especially to do it this way on a reality television show.
Yeah, Dina says that her family has gotten a lot of grief from the media…she is inviting the media to take a direct slam at her daughter because the reality show leaves Ali and her life very vulnerable. And I actually felt sorry for Ali when she was telling Dave Letterman that a lot of the girls are school were picking on her because of her family’s name and history. It’s even going to be more harder on her.

I don’t no you guys. I think the media is just really making this woman look like some sort of monster and they’re doing a good job. the same way they do with linds. They make you think a person is so horrible. I don’t think she’s making ali do this. I believe what ali says. she just really loves to act and sing and Dina is helping her get things going just like she did with lindsay. Her girls have talent and they want to show everyone and work in the business. They love it. the good side of it. But I mean, dina is really like the only one who can get them out there and recognized. Most mom’s don’t care about their childs dream or they dont feel like traveling to all those auditions and spending all that money. dina does care. thats why we have linds, the greatest young actress in hollywood right now because this woman believed her child was special and got her name out there. She isn’t trying to be a superstar. shes trying help her girls in whatever way she can to be a sucess. I think its better that their mom is their manager than anyone else because trusting strangers with your kids and their future earnings is not always smart. That can be alot worse. and with the N.E.R.D vid, just the media b***hing again as usual. the video may not be talking about being drug free but it has a catchy hook. Linds wasn’t doing drugs or anything in the vid so they should just shut up. their’s nothing to fuss about. pharell is one of the hottest producers and rappers in hollywood right now and he’s helping linds on the new album. he just wanted her to do a cameo in his vid. alot of artists do that for eachother. they try to support eachother. he’s probably gonna be in her video 2. linds probably didn’t tell dina because she probably would’ve tried to make her not do it. but anyways I just hope people at least watch this show and try to give ali and dina a chance because in this situation I think they have been treated very unfair and they deserve to show their side and whats really been happening. It’s not right alian is already hated right out the door because of what’s happend with linds. but I believe she’ll overcome all that cruel media coverage. just like Im 1000% sure linds can. If she has lindsay’s talent. If you have raw talent like that, you can bassically do anything. as long as your head is in the right place. with lindsay on her team, ali could be a huge success. I know linds is definitley gonna be hard on her. she won’t let her sister do what she did. I might be believing what I hear and see to quickly, but Im pretty sure Im not. to be absolutely sure, I’ll just watch the show. Everyone should, to see if dina is lying or is she really being real. If you are so sure about her, I think you should watch it. I think you might be suprised. If you still don’t like her, you can’t help that, but atleast you’d you know that she wasn’t that lunatic, controlling, self-obssed, money hungry skank you thought she was. This show is bassically their last chance to set the record straight about their family. they are tired of the world saying their crazy, when their actaully just like every other family in america.

Hey to ALL !! I think we have perhaps possibly maybe could be might have missed the point of this reality show, E! needs the ratings, and the shows they have been showing not many people watch, so maybe they are trying to cash in a little on the Lindsay / Lohan Family Drama craze, so that they can boost their ratings, a little. and of course like ANY good Info-mercial, this show will probably be more of look at us we are just people, than wow-o-wow we are the greatest people, but the curious will tune in, and the networks ratings will climb, even if only for a few weeks, so that they can get more money from commercial sponsors, who don’t want to waste money on a show no one watches or network station ( like E! ) So that is what this is about at basic. And along the way we might find out some little insight into Dina’s thought processes that will tell us the why- of- Huh? Besides this is time for Ali to Shine, So I For One, am more than willing to let her Shine ! We in this country have far more important questions to solve, like Just how corrupt IS the justice system in Texas anyway, they are going to return those 400 + kids back into the ” Loving Care ” of the mothers who have gone along with child sex and polygamy, because they really don’t want the responsibility of putting all those adults into prison, for child abuse sexually. Did Lindsay’s movie Georgia Rule, have NO effect on these heartless cowards ? Shameless Government ? we need a higher power to step in now, before the kids can be sent back into that virtual sex slavery right here in the U.S. Shameful, just Shameful !!
GOD Bless You Always, Lindsay D Lohan, I Love You Always, me, Larry T Robinson, O.R. Tn.

Tinkerbell, I understand what you’re saying but that’s not the point I was trying to make. Every kid has a dream. Ali grew up with her older sister in the spotlight.
So help Ali. Support her. Why do a reality show? In so many interviews Ali said she was picked on in school because of her sister and her last name. Sad. A reality show isn’t the ticket to quell rumors or to “set the record straight.” I don’t think the media labels Dina. Dina’s behavior speaks for itself. Tinkerbell you talked about Michael Lohan always blabbing to the media. Well guess what Dina does too.
I will say it again: Lindsay is where she is now because of her OWN talent.

Oh, I’m going to Tivo this thing. I suspect it’ll be the worst television train wreck since “Cavemen.” that may be unfair, though. i rather liked “Cavemen.” It was dumb, but i laughed anyway.
If anything, it’ll be interesting to see how accurately the ads reflect the actual show. The ads for _Fight Club_ looked dumb, but it turns out I love that movie. Meanwhile, the ads for _Star Trek V_ looked pretty good, and that was easily the worse Trek movie with the original series cast.
So, just because the ads look cruddy doesn’t mean the show will be and all of that. It would be nice if the show does turn out to be good since that will show that Dina does have some show business sense and can make a decent TV show. It doesn’t look like she does based on what I have seen. It would be great if I was proven wrong.

Uh well… ya i like this show, even tho i always hated lindsay lohan. The real problem in hollywood IF U ASK ME, is that people think that just because ONE child has a talent, the rest do. In a part on the show, ali is singing along to one of jeremys song. The one that is like its not my fault if ur in love with me ect ect… and NO OFFENSE, but she sounds horrible. I heard her sing another time. She was singing her mothers friends poetry aloud, and it sounded like something i could do. I cant sing for shit. Mabey singing isnt her talent…she should try other things. Think about it Hilary duff, her sister started to suceed then she disappeared. Jessica Simpson, her sister did GREAT but she too slowly disappeared. Promoting Ali is just like promoting Miley Cyrus’s sisters. It sucks, but the sad truth is they will always fall under hannah montanas shadow, and ali will always fall under lindsays. Im not trying to be cruel…so dont attack me. I do have one question though…what happened to Ali at school? They really didnt explain.
:DDD <3 thank you

Madeline,
You are truely correct! Most people don’t realize the little people that helped in the support of stars. I myself, never really thought about Ali, Dina, or even Cody as being part of Lindsay’s sucess! However, of course we all knew that Ali would strive to follow in her sisters foot steps. You are so correct. She will always be known as “Lindsays’ sister.” Lindsay left Ali’s life open and vulnerable. As for Dina, DINA DINA DINA! You can’t protect your daughter now. She made irresponsible decisions. Decisions that effect the children and teens that look to her a role model. She did the coke, stop playing it off as a life. I have nothing more to say, but someone please help out Madeline, as I could not answer her last question. Bye

Hey Maleah - I was wondering the same thing! On the last episodes titled Mean Girls, all you hear Ali say is that her mom would have grounded her for life if she did what the “mean girls” did. It was more than 1 girl right? They all get suspended…so it’s gotta be pretty bad, right?

Tinkerbell you don’t get why everyone hates dina so much?>
She is a terrible mother…first off she exposes her young children to media for no reason ally cannot sing obviously she is going to get made fun of second who shows there 14 yr old daughter her sister possibly giving someone head on the internet even if it isnt her or if it is her…would you show your 14 yr old daughter porn?? she is not a good mother all she wants out of this show is for HER to be on tv she doesnt care about any of her kids…Also letting her daughter swear like a truck driver…this family is gross…this show needs to be band from televison

One other thing Ali can not sing maybe the lyrics are catchy but she wouldnt make it past the american idol judges without getting laughed at by all three of them…she has a horse voice which sounds like she smokes 5 packs of cigaretts a day. Also who hasnt been made fun of by girls back in high school she isn’t alone everyone goes through it…it may be worse then some ppl got but that is just the way girls are…get over it if you let them get to you..then they have won!

Hi :D Well i think everyones comments, and opinions are really solid. I mean all of you guys have really good points!
I am sooo sorry to do this in here..but i was wondering if even could tell me what they thought of this poem i wrote.
The shallow end of hope
To the deep end of truth
Digging for nothing
The signs point to the root
The rhythm is clear
We sample the love
Because honestly we fear
The push and the shove
The glass is near cracked
We try to decipher
Why she isn’t scared
The knife is beside her
Shes tears in the eyes
She just cant move
Dramatic isn’t it
To be unable to prove
Its half past eleven
Hers hands are clammy
Ten, nine, eight, seven
The count down to life
The hardship and strife
We single her out
She walks among you
We live and we learn
She stuggles and tries too
She tries to speak
Nothing comes out
Whats left unwritten
Was never written about
The good fortune and bad
Was unevenly spread
Just another conspiracy
The witnesses are dead
