“Living Lohan” Preview #2

by Arieanna Schweber on May 19th, 2008

Here is a second preview of Dina Lohan’s new reality show, "Living Lohan", which will premiere on E! on Memeorial Day. The preview is more edgy, basically playing on Dina Lohan being a b*tch if anyone chooses to get in her way, or her daughter Ali’s way.

What do you think of this preview? Better than the last one?

i’ll say it again, good luck with showbiz, ali, but really, you could do better than ‘(un)reality’ television, what happened to nickelodeon and other oppurtunities?Lindsay went from commercials and a soap opera to movies, because she had that star quality and a unique personality, even at a young age,so you gotta get out there and pound the pavement, ali, not this low-brow z-list garbage.i can see why Lindsay gives this crap a WIDE berth, very wise of her to limit her association,if any at all.good luck, miss ali.peace

…and btw, ali,no offense to you,but i won’t be watching this exploitive and mind-numbingly boring drivel,as i equate it to being trapped for eternity in a run down theater, with two movies, parisites ‘hottie/nottie’ and jsimps ‘blonde ambition’ on endless loop and no way out,LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    sorry,ali honey,but i gotta jet on this one.peace

It’s cute that Ali looks up to Lindsay, but I don’t see her getting anywhere as far as her career is concerned. She lacks the magic that Lindsay has. Also Lindsay is extraordinarily beautiful. Perfectly proportioned, a killer smile and stunning features.

Lindsay has this charm and sweetness that’s clearly undeniable. Even when the paps catch her running errands with no makeup, dressed down Lindsay is stunning. She lights up the room. Ali seems mean and bratty. And Dina is just too much.

That preview did nothing that would make me want to watch the show. This has nothing to do with my personal feelings about any of the Lohans or reality TV in general. That just did not look like a good show. I feel like I could get a similar experience by watching, well, anything while two big, burly men grab me by the ears and jostle my head around until I get seasick and throw up.

That is my opinion on this preview.

I think the real problem is the show doesn’t look like fun. I used to watch “The Osbournes” and “Gene Simmons Family Jewels” because those shows played up the wacky home lives of their stars, effectively making a sitcom. “Living Lohan” looks too serious. So I can expect none of the fun I had watching those other shows. Unless Dina throws ham at the neighbors, I’m not interested.

Jaine…nice comment,i love your description of Lindsays beauty,so true.i keep seeing this shot of Lindsay from 2006,at the saturn car show, her red hair is stunning, eyes are incredible with some fantastic makeup, that sexy grin, the light dancing in her eyes, the expression priceless, nice outfit, again i use fantastic, but it’s the natural beauty, perfectly symmetrical features, easy charm and charisma,as you say and i heartily agree,MAGIC,and i always see that opening scene from ‘the parent trap’,fireworks bursting in the night sky, highlighting the immortal words,’and introducing Lindsay Lohan.’there is none other, and with that,i wish this fabuLLous superstar, the best of health, happiness, and continued success in career and personal life in 2008,and beyond.LLove you,Lindsay.LLove always,a huge fan and friend.peace

sorry, ali, but my cinematic heart forever belongs to your big sister, the hugely talented and incredible Lindsay Lohan.

I think that what’s going to happen is that Ali will be overshadowed because of Lindsay’s career. Before Lindsay bad year in 2007, she was a huge star–still is. She really did it big when she starred in the triple threat combo: Freaky Friday, Herbie Unloaded, and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. She scored well in these movies…and you really see her acting chops in them. Yet, I think that her best role out of all the movies that she has ever done is Mean Girls. By far, this is my favorite Lohan movie. Tina Fey wrote a brilliant script in it…and she and Lohan had mad chemistry with each other onscreen every time that they interacted.

Not only that, Lindsay started her music career as well. I think that all is a pretty young woman while her sister is stunningly pretty, IMO. Anyway, I just think that there will be more angst between the sister’s relationship by Dina doing this show–and it maybe from Ali. I know what I am talking about, too. I have a sister that’s around Lindsay’s age…and I am the oldest in the family. I’ve always been viewed as the successful one while my sister as second best even though she was the baby of the family for a long time. Of course, when my sister saw that I was successful, she started to become jealous. I don’t hope or wish that this ends up like this between Ali and Lindsay, BUT when you have a successful sibling out of the clan like Lindsay…and you have another sibling wanted that same success…it is really rare that the other sibling will be just as successful as the previous sibling.

In the process, I hope that Ali doesn’t have to go through the problems that Lindsay had to go through, too. I think that it would be tragic and would actually probably break Lindsay’s heart if her sister made the same mistakes that she made.

Well, I finally watched the first preview, and it was the same thing except they were just namedropping Lindsay the whole time. It didn’t get remotely interesting until the end when Ali refused to sing a song for some reason. That was actually kind of neat, too bad it lasted about three seconds.

Otherwise, my opinion is the same as the new preview.
