Lindsay slitting wrists rumors
Lindsay Lohan is rumored to have slit her wrists. Her press agent is claiming she fell into some bushes, but the rumors are quite strong this time.
From The Sun:
LINDSAY Lohan sports scars on her left wrist — fuelling fears the Hollywood wild child has fallen victim to self harm.
The scratches — and what looked like a figure-of-eight burn on her right forearm — were revealed as the 20-year-old starlet left a showbiz bash MINUS the bandages and wristbands she has taken to wearing in recent weeks.
Shocked experts last night said the gouges bore all the hallmarks of a condition that afflicts increasing numbers of youngsters.
Mean Girls star Lindsay, who has battled anorexia and admits to taking drugs, also wore a plaster on a right finger at the party — which followed the World Music Awards on Wednesday at London’s Earls Court.
The Sun told yesterday how awards host Lindsay repeatedly fluffed her lines and was booed. She also fell down stairs — and organisers had to keep her and Paris Hilton apart.
Expert Jan Sutton, who has written two books on self harm, said grimly: “The photographs have all the telltale signs.
“The arms are the most common place for self injury.
“Some of the scars are fresh and just above those there are a number of injuries which look older. They are called keloid scars and are just beginning to disappear. It would be difficult to argue this is an accident as there are just too many scars.”
Lindsay has told in the past how she feared she would die after years of punishing her frail body. She recently confessed to having “hit rock bottom”. Last July she was taken to hospital while shooting her latest film Georgia Rules.
Lindsay admitted her eating disorder had returned to plague her, saying: “I was making myself sick. Sometimes being that thin doesn’t look healthy. I kind of didn’t realise that.”
The beauty, whose ex-lovers include Bruce Willis and Leonardo DiCaprio, added: “One time when someone asked me if I was OK I just started bawling.
“I knew I had a problem and just could not admit it. My arms were disgusting. I had no arms. I had people sit me down and say, ‘You’re going to die if you don’t take care of yourself’.”

i remember a while ago on one of her beach shots it looked like she had, but no one said anything so i shrugged it off
it was in a pic where there where quite a lot of people
it deffinately looks like she has.. and she seems the type but who knows..

The cuts on her arm are superficial. They are typical attention-seeking behaviors exhibited by teenage girls who have mental health issues. (No, I am not saying she has mental health issues.) I would guess she is not a “cutter” per se because they generally attempt to hide their cuts. For her PR person to attempt to excuse this behavior and claim she fell into the bushes is ridiculous. Think about the last time you fell and where your arms were. People generally do not fall with their wrists exposed.

I quite agree with Betty, these are not serious cuts and i believe it’s just a call for attention and angst. I believe lindsay has just been indulging way too much and is getting caught up in that self indulgent behavior. She isn’r mental or depressed….i’d say just immature. Although no one would really know all the facts and i believe this is just a big deal out of nothing, many teenagers have an angsty stage but they get over it after a month or two.

Lizzay, I have to wonder if you have any idea what you’re saying.
“A big deal out of nothing”? With the number of teenage self harmers on the rise, and the fact that a large number of people who go on to attempt suicide have harmed themselves in the year previous to their attempt, how can you say this is nothing?
Sure, while there are certainly a large amount of people who self harm yet are not suicidal, how can this kind of behaviour be anything but a cause for concern? It’s a very serious thing; whatever the reason for it.
The only question now, I believe, is, *was* it intentional? If so, I think she needs to get some help.

I actually fell into some bushes this past weekend and I have a cut similar on my left wrist. Only one.. not as many as hers… so.. who knows?
For her sake, I hope that if she is doing it, she stops.

For someone who wants to give someone else crap for making 1 typo and therefore they “can’t spell” so their point is irrelevant…you sure made an awful lot of typos. Man, I hate how people are so darn stupid on the internet.
At any rate, I am a former cutter and I’ve also burned myself in the past and I can tell you right now, looking at those pictures I would say she did it. So what? The girl’s obviously got problems. If you can’t see that already you must be blind.

I agree with Gelly. Mel obviously shouldn’t be throwing any internet stones on spelling or typos. Internet fighting is idiotic.
As for Lohan..Gelly made another great point..She is a former cutter, she would know. Lindsay is so obviously screwed up. Did everyone forget about her Vanity Fair article?? If someone tells you they are messed up ..then believe them!! She’s told America and showed us, by her odd actions. She needs help.

first of all, it is very clear lindsay has been hiding her cuts and scars, as you can see from the bandages, wrist bands and bracelets. the girl has been battleing anorexia! self harm, anorexia and depression along with millions of other things can all come with each other. she’s admitted she had/ has and eating disorder, so she is obviously skrewed up in the head. i myself am a cutter/burner, you name it im i do it, and im by no means proud of it! it IS NOT an attention seeking behaviour, if anything it is a plea for help. this girl needs help, maybe now its out in the open, she will get the help that so many, like myself just can not ask for. i hope she gets better, i have never been a fan but i hope she gets the help that she needs! there is help out there to any of you who are like me and lindsay, you just have to work up the corage to go out and ask for it! thats the hardest part, telling someone, but if you can find the courage to get the help you need and deserve, dont be afraid to do it!

Everyone should just give Linds a break she is a hardworking ,stunning,clever and Gracoius young woman and everyone is putting lots of pressure on her.
She is very stressed about her life just think she started acting at a very young age and she became a HUGE star,her parents are divorced,her dad is in Jail and then she still has to put up with all the rumors about her!
Its not easy being a Celebrity and i think she is handeling it very well !
The things about her slitting her wrists i dont care and i dont believe that her publist said she fell in the bush and fell down the stairs!
That photo looks fake but im not saying it is !
Lindsay lohan has ben my Role Model and Favourite Singer and Actress for as long as i can imagine she is AMAZING!
So i hope everyone will piss off and get on with their lives and stop trying to ruin Hers!

I think you all are just mean to even bring up the fact that Lindsay cuts herself that’s her own problem and that’s her own body people shouldn’t have the right to judge someone based on their personal life it was mean that people are spreading this on the internet i just wanted a decent picture on google of a girl slitting her wrist for a depression project but i didn’t know this would come up Well … I think it’s unfair that people are being mean to Lindsay just give her a break and let her be what she wants to be…that’s all i have to say bye..

Well i think that she’s over reacting about her life. She’s an actris. You can never tell when they start acting and when thay stop. She was born an raised an actris so it would be in her nature to over react because that is all she knows.I know people who have been through worse. her life was never even that bad. She belives in karma. maby she should turn to that. If she thinks her life was bad I just want her to think about what it would be like to have to raise yourself up on your own since about the age of… let’s say 7.Like some people in the 1930’s and 40’s. No… let’s put her in that situation. Then we’ll see how bad she really cut’s!

You know what? I know I’m biased because I used to cut too, but it’s not about how big YOU think a person’s problems are. It’s how much they affect that person. Different things affect different people in different ways. So you don’t really have any right to say she’s overreacting. Those who have said she’s under a lot of pressure are right. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned from being a member of, and more recently moderating, a crisis support forum, it’s that if there’s a lot of pressure on someone, they have to let it out somehow. Cutting isn’t a GOOD way to do that, but effectively it *is* a coping mechanism.

hey jaxstar not all emos cut their wrists. the term emo stands for emotional. Emo is a persona, a life style, and an appearance. I cut my wrists and im not emo. I dont even dress like an emo kid. ive been cutting since i was 8 and now im 16. i have also burned myself. If lohan did cut her wrists she probably like me she rather have physical pain than emotional pain. thats all i have to say. peace out.

Lauren said it well. It doesn’t matter at all if you think that she doesn’t have any problems. I’m a former cutter as well, and if you were to tell me that I’m overreacting because my life is perfect, unlike those poor kids in Africa or homeless people or stuff like that, I’d want to shoot you and I’d feel even more depressed. Not to mention the fact that the severity of the wounds doesn’t always show how bad the problems are.
And everyone who’s saying “She’s emo!”: Honestly, get a life. And a brain.
Oh, and wtf with saying that everyone who acts overreacts? Lovely false stereotype you got going there. Idiot.

Lindsay Lohan is just making a fool of her self. She shouldn’t do things like that. she says that life isn’t worth living. I think she’s so wrong about life. Also her old body guard said that she uses men and WOMEN to get money to pay for drugs and alchohol, and she’s not even old enough to drink. I agree with Katrinawhjo wrote at the top, Lindsay is a show off. She should do less of that. Actually she shouldn’t do it at all. Maybe people will respect her more.I’m almost certain.

i was reading sum stuff saying people who ‘cut’ themselves are seeking attention - this aint true!!!
people try to hide it (as you can see here) they dont want people knowing so everyone feels sorry for them! poor lindsay.
