Lindsay paid tribute to a friend

I missed it, totally, but Lindsay Lohan stood up at the American Music Awards to pay tribute to a friend who had just died:

The newly-brunette actress/singer told select press on the red carpet at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles, “I just lost one of my best friends recently. She was in school and she got sick. I’ve known her since I was five. I grew up with her and her family.”

She later paid tribute to the pal, CAITLIN ANN BOYLE, by holding up a photograph of the 19-year-old during a backstage photo call.
