Lindsay Lohan with family on Thanksgiving
November 26, 2009 by Cheril Vernon
Lindsay Lohan, who took a flight out of LA earlier this week, is spending Thanksgiving with her family on Long Island with her mom Dina Lohan, sister Ali and her two brothers Cody and Michael Jr., according to her mom.
And it sounds like Lindsay will be busy in the kitchen!
“Lindsay is making the garlic mashed potatoes. They are amazing!” Dina Lohan told PEOPLE while taking a break from serving a Thanksgiving lunch to autistic and special needs community members at the Harbor Links Country Club in Long Island, N.Y. on Tuesday.
Dina told reporters her daughter was doing fine.
”Lindsay is doing great right now. She’s happy and very busy working. She works a lot and so we’re excited to have her home for Thanksgiving,” Dina Lohan told People.
And everyone will have a role to play with making Thanksgiving dinner at the Lohan house.
”Ali is doing the stuffing and I’m doing the turkey and making sure nothing burns,” says Dina told People magazine.
Once the meal is prepared, the family will celebrate a tradition.
“We go around the table and say what we are thankful for,” Dina told People. “I grew up with it and it’s just a Thanksgiving tradition we have going on at our house that we grabbed onto … We are so blessed and it’s important to share what we are thankful for, and not to take things for granted.”
I hope Lindsay and her family enjoy their Thanksgiving together – they deserve it.
How are you spending Thanksgiving?

…Working: I’ve spent Thanksgiving Day working…
In Holland we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving. We have other festivities.
Not that we are ungrateful but we express our gratitude on other occasions.
I’m glad that Lindsay enjoys the hollidays with her loved ones.
I agree with Cheril: They deserve a joyfull time together.
Happy Thanksgiving Day Lindsay.
