Lindsay Lohan voted ‘Worst Actress’

Lindsay Lohan has made her way onto a couple of lists that no actor wants to be on.
AOL Moviefone published The Best and Worse of 2007 – an online poll in which 3.8 million people voted.
- 58% named Lindsay Lohan the worst actress of 2007 for ‘I Know Who Killed Me.‘
- 23% voted ‘Georgia Rule‘ the "biggest waste of your $" in 2007, coming in second behind ‘Norbit‘.
- 21% voted for Lindsay Lohan in the "strangest celebrity arrest" making her come in third for chasing her former assistant’s mom in her SUV
- 14% voted Lindsay Lohan "the biggest news story" for her arrests

Quite frankly, I’m surprised that most people are even aware I Know Who Killed Me exists. It was in and out of theaters faster than Kenneth Pinyan at a petting zoo. Also, Lindsay was in rehab when it opened, and so did no promotion for it.
But apparently I’m wrong, as this polls seems to indicate and Wikipedia says that IKWKM was Amazon’s top selling Blu-ray disc in November.
This is nice evidence of Lindsay’s appeal, but I think it would have been better for her if this movie was largely unknown. There is much wrong with it, much that’s can’t really be blamed on Lindsay, but it probably will anyway, because that’s how unfair things are. Let’s hope Dare To Love Me sets her career back on an even keel.

Obviously Lindsay is not the worst actress, her role in the movie “I know who killed me” was not her best work but it was not bad. In my opinion, Nicole Kidman (in The Invasion) and Jennifer Lopez ( in “El cantante”), were worse . But it seems to me that this site hates deeply Lilo because every time they mention her, they criticize her.
Go Lindsay, I love you and don´t pay attention to those stupid critics.

3.8 million “… people” — that’s not very many out of the total possible viewership — this would noramally mean that only a small percentage of the viewership is “talent-challenged” (to try to put it nicely). Or perhaps only the talent-challenged have no life and therefore spend their time online voting for everything they hate. However, if, as dave points out, these are all bratish poople, then:
1. that’s a much higher percentage — closer to 100%, and
2. it is quite understandable that close to 100% of the bratish poople ARE in fact “talent-challenged” (not to mention hate full and stoop ids).

Consider that, having only recently turned 21, the majority of Lindsay’s “professional choices” were made FOR her — by her “mom-ager”.
Yes — Lindsay has made some unwise personal choices — especially in the past year or so. There are a lot of contributing factors — in particular the breakup of her family, and having to sort out moving out from under her mother’s control into her own. ANY person in Lindsay’s situation might have done the same thing — probably worse Would you like to tell us that you have NEVER made any bad choices — professionally or personally? So what’s your point? She seems to have “wisened up” — the partial restoration of her family being a significant factor — and is taking steps to change, to turn in a new — wiser — direction.

Interesting obervation — it seems to me that that is exactly what every good actor/actress does — so what’s your point? Lindsay becomes so much identified with the role that you can’t separate the two — again — doesn’t every good actor/actress do this?
“I hope she never makes another movie.” Why? Would Lindsay making another movie someow cause you personal injury or loss?
I hope no one ever robs any one. I hope that there will be new cures for cancer and cystic fibrosis, I hope the murder rate goes down, I hope the economy improves — these are things to hope for which may have some bearing on my life and others — but to hope that Lindsay never makes another movie? What’s your point — other than to demean Lindsay? Perhaps you have the wrong site — go fish!
I think it was the best movie of LL so faaarr…Or at least for me !! Whatever people can say about her life or anything else she’s and she’ll always be the best young actress ever !!
Hey I have an idea (not very brilliant lool) but what about we make like a HUGE HUGE video about all LL fans around the world to show that we stand beside her no matter what and post it wherever we can to show the whole world that we’ll always be there for here !! You can post videos of you talking about her (english , italian , spanish , french or whatever language you can) and trying to make it really famous so she can see it maybe i think she’ll like it…If you’re interested just email me or write down here i visit lohangroupie very often

OMG red cherry I think thats a fabulous Idea! the best one ever! linds is the best actress in the world, I’m so glad you recognize that! I think that would really touch her heart right now to know she has so much support and love out there. I mean we could get everybody! fans of any age or race! I think we need to totally make this happen. she needs all her fans right now bringing her up and makeing sure she isn’t feeling down on herself so she can get back in this cold entertainment industry with complete confidence. thats our job. to stand by her nomatter what through whatever and support our lindsay. I think it would give her that one more boost she needs. maybe we could get even get her family to help out with this. and maybe even some celebs who support linds could be in it. I mean, were like her 2nd family too. we need to make like an advirtisement on youtube or something maybe? do you guys think we could really do this? I hope so!

I’m sorry, but I don’t see anything on that site that indicates it’s based in the UK. Not saying you’re wrong, but the only affiliation I could find was with AOL, so maybe hating British people is a bit of a stretch, really.
First off ?? I take it we had ANOTHER really vituperant hater, whose comment Arieanna deleted, I couldn’t find the comment which Lindsay’s friend is alluding to ?!?!? And Second ( 196 point font here ) THATS A GREAT IDEA !! We should get together and do a fan-wide You-Tube movie for lindsay, a video of ALL those who support her, many of us have web cams, even me, who is currently financially strapped for cash, has a pair of web cams, walmart, 39.95 a couple of years ago, USB cords etc. I just don’t use mine much, but I have all the softs, and know how to use same, and have Microphones for recording sound, I am sure many of us have similar equipment already. Some of the newer Laptops have said equipment built in already. And now for my Last question, 3.8 MiLlIoN People have seen IKWKM ? I didn’t think it had done THAT well, it’s box office reciepts, didn’t seem to indicate it had that much of an audience ? AS FOR AOL, Well seems to me, that A lot of us switched OFF of AOL onto better ISP’s, and mostly the know-nothing twits stayed with that loser of a data base. I haven’t used AOL since mid 90’s when they insisted I pay either with credit card, or give electronic access to my checking account. Which I would never do. Security Issues much or what ????? Totally they must be like a martian or something. OOOOPS. I meant to say 3.8 million, not 8 million sorry my bad, can’t count today or something. But it is still a valid question given the V-E-R-Y few screens that even botherd to show that movie across the country. In Knoxville it was in ONE movie theatre in the whole city, and only on ONE screen in that theatre, with very restricted times of viewing. So for 3.8 million people to have seen it by now, is a prety good chunck of it’s distributorship ??

Georgia Rule was good picture…I’d easily give it 3 stars (out of 4) even if Lindsay wasn’t in it. Since she was we are talking better.

Hi guys i just want to let you all know something interesting. I live in Ireland and we usually get the same movies in our theaters as England and I Know Who Killed Me NEVER came to our cinema’s AT ALL!!! i ordered off American Amazon. I have never heard any mention of it in any of the English magazines and it is in NONE of our dvd stores,so how can these “3.8 million” people vote Lindsay the worst actress when they HAVNT even SEEN the darn movie???? i think people are just out to get her and even if they hadnt seen the movie they still just want to vote her the worst actress no matter what film it is. In my opinion, i didnt like IKWKM very much but she was a GREAT actress in it, you CANT deny that AND Georgia Rule (another film that wasnt released here or England) is one of my FAVOURITE movies EVER!!! ive watched it SO many times and Linds did a GREAT job in it.

Joanna…hi,how are you,over there in Ireland?i’m german,english,scotch-irish-welsh,polish,and jewish.now there’s a combination,i know right?!anyway,i liked your comment,especially your praise for Georgia Rule,my favorite character of Lindsays,a great movie that i have watched countless times on dvd,and saw five times in the theater back in may/june07.i absolutely love this movie,Lindsay is fantastic as Rachel,and both Jane Fonda and Felicity Huffman are great as the other women in this compelling story of three generations of women,struggling with their baggage,damage,flaws,and it truly is a heart-wrenching and heart-warming tale of rebellion,reconciliation,and redemption,easily in my top 10 favorite movies of all time,sharing the list with 1953 ‘roman holiday’,1998 ‘parent trap’,2003 ‘freaky friday’,2004 ‘mean girls,1961 ‘breakfast at tiffanys’,1965 ‘the cinncinati kid’,1987 ‘die hard’,1955 ’sabrina’,and last,but not least,uma thurman in 2003/4 ‘kill bill 1 and 2′,my tribute to the ladies kickin’ butt in american cinema.i am a movie nut and Georgia Rule really brought out the emotions,and a new respect for the immense talent and emotional range of this unique woman,the incomparable miss Lohan.love you,Lindsay.love always,a huge fan and friend.peace

There are more films featuring Lindsay made that deserved a better fate. That doesn’t mean that Lindsay is a bad actress. Far from it.
It looks like the entertainment industry is determent not to take Lindsay seriously as an actress.
Harry…ALL of Lindsays movies are great,including her two disney tv movies,’get a clue’ and ‘life size’,and all of them are in my top 50 favorite movies,but the best four of her movies are in my top 10,Parent Trap,Freaky Friday,Mean Girls,and the incredible Georgia Rule.btw,Georgia Rule knocked the 1999 Matrix off my top 10,to no.11,as my top 10 is judged by how many times i watch them per year,and if they still grab me.
i agree with you,Harry,that hollywood is not taking her seriously,for some reason,and it can’t be her offscreen troubles,as there have been actors in the past with far worse personal lives and still were well recieved by the cinema world.i think that todays hollywood and the celebrity culture are just mainly interested in putting a star on top,then smashing he or she to the bottom,and then,NEXT…!!todays trashloid media,smearNET,and the haters make this so possible,so the hollywierd fame machine just chews them up and spits them out,moving on to the next one.what ever happened to the studios protecting their stars against the invasive press,camera monkeys,and the hater/stalkers???these actors give their all,body and soul,as a character for our entertainment,and the system lets them get eaten alive,what the hell?!i could never do what miss Lohan does,so i give her all the credit,and live vicariously through her talent and success.go,Lindsay,go!!!
