Lindsay Lohan Vanity Fair Interview: Drugs, Bulimia, Love, and Pain
As Jossip put it, Lindsay Lohan kind of let it all bare in today’s newsstand hit of Vanity Fair:
Lindsay says she did tons o’ drugs, was super bulimic, had a couple mental break-downs, stalked her boyfriend until he dumped her….
Fessing it all up is putting it lightly. She put everything out there - confessed everything (true to her aptly named CD), and shared her naked body and soul.
She, at least, admits that she was going in a bad path and needed help:
"I was sick . . . I had people sit me down and say, ‘You’re going to die if you don’t take care of yourself,’ "
Now, here’s what I can glean from the article and all the gossip:
- Lindsay Lohan tried drugs - she denies it was cocaine but did seem flustered - and claims to have stopped
- LL’s publicist tried to get the reference to drugs removed from the Vanity Fair publication, but obviously was unsucessful
- Lindsay Lohan fights bulimia - and became so bulimic she could, thankfully, recognize that she’d taken her body too far
- The bulimia episode was stopped in May, although we know eating disorders are a lifetime thing
- Lindsay Lohan thanks "Saturday Night Live" guru Lorne Michaels for stepping in to stop her eating disorder
- Shopping has replaced the more "unhealthy" habits of bulimia and drugs, but considering she can spend $100k in one day, I’d say it’s not great either
- Lindsay talks about the horror years with her father and how that, combined with tons of stress from being in Hollywood, made her an emotional wreck
- Lindsay admits writing the last CD almost broke her down, and actually fessed to wanting to call her dad and also to almost quitting Hollywood
- Wilmer Valderrama comes up too - how he was her first love (which would have been hard given her trust issues from her father), how he became the shoulder to cry on, and how this pushed him away. And, also, how she feels after the break-up
After Lindsay realized she had a problem, she was quick to break down. Here is what she had to say:
"I just started bawling. I knew I had a problem, and I couldn’t admit it," Lohan says.
"I saw that ‘SNL" after I did it. My arms were disgusting. I had no arms."
Soon after, she says, a paparazzi photo of her in a "great whore’s dress" popped up in a gossip tabloid and drilled the point home. "
I looked at it and was like, ‘Jesus Christ.’ "
My sister, she was scared," the actress says. "My brother called me, crying."
It sounds like her mom, Dina Lohan, may have knew what was going on but didn’t stop it. She is quoted as saying she "maybe" took it too far, as if doing it "just a bit" would be ok. Not the best quote.
Lindsay admits to being a little wary of what would come out in Vanity Fair:
"I haven’t seen anything; I’m kind of scared," Lindsay Lohan told ET at the Prive/Opium Garden party she hosted New Year’s Eve in Miami Beach. "It’ll be tastefully done though — it is Vanity Fair." - Just Jared
I’m personally a little afraid that admitting the truth, and waiting for it to come out in the news all anxious and whatnot, may have spurred Lindsay to take up old habits. She has dropped weight in the last 2 weeks, from what the pictures tell, and perhaps it’s also what spurred on her asthma.
What do you think?

I don’t think she’s really telling the truth. A lot of celebrities claim eating disorder when the problem was really drugs. She didn’t even have a lot of the symptoms of bulimia (yellow teeth, for one).

i don’t think she is telling the whole truth. it is a way to sell herself more. anyway, i do think she had and she still have a eating disorder. and with the drugs, i think it was more of that and if she had drugs for a quite time i don’t think she is over with it.

Being honest is such a good thing. It starts with being honest with oneself, and from this can come honesty in general. It makes things clearer and so allows us to better deal with the things we are going through at the time. I just hope that it means she is better able to measure everything in her life on honesty’s yardstick.
Be honest with the world, yes, but also be honest with yourself, and then see honesty in others, or the lack thereof.
I hope she is ok. Celebrity is extremely stressful, and without some structure in the person through the complete devotion of parents or friends, life is hard to live. Without being intimately in her life it would be hard to know what’s happening. I hope she is finding these.
God bless little girl. And anyone who reads this pray for her. This is one girl who needs it maybe more than the rest of us.

I think that she is telling the truth and that htye twisted her words. I am in love with Lindsay Lohan and if she says that they twisted her words. Anyone who says that she has an eating disorder has a problem with her and they have a jealously. People need to get off her back and respect her.
