Congratulations for being honoured with the award Lindsay. Maybe they should include sex abuse as well to bring that under the attention since that was depicted in that film too…And accurately i might add.

finally,Lindsay gets some recognition for her outstanding performance in Georgia Rule,my favorite role and movie of the hugely talented miss Lohan. i have seen this fantastic movie numerous times, and i still get a tug on my heartstrings every time. i still wonder if Harlan has returned from his mission, and at last, given Rachel a shot at normal life and love. i still get a little misty at the ‘life comes full circle’ theme with the three women, and am amazed at the screenplay and interaction of the characters. a lot of people still don’t realize that Lindsay never got one bad review for her actual performance, just a lot of critic hacks blasting the movie incorrectly,as it was never billed as a comedy, but a drama with some comedy. because the bad reviews were coming out at a time when Lindsays life was falling apart, people just lumped all her troubles together, and didn’t give this movie a fair shake. regardless of all media trash, critics, haters, bad reviews, etc, just the fact that Garry Marshall directed this movie, would have been enough to go see it in the theater, and you put miss Lohan in the mix too, done deal.
i give this movie 5 stars out of 5 stars,my only complaint being, that some of the deleted scenes should have been left in the film. that said,if they ever had a special repeat showing in the theater again, you know i’d go see it again!!! you can’t beat seeing Lindsay,as Rachel,on the silver screen, larger than life.
LLove you,Lindsay, see you at the oscars someday…

  10. Larry R says:

Dave, I totally wholeheartedly agree. !! I own the DVD, and have seen it numerous times. All too real, and it should have been recognised for it’s depiction of depraved sexual abuse, by a father figure/parental figure, and should have brought the whole country wide problem a brighter search light of looking at, but didn’t. You GO Lindsay !
GOD Bless You Lindsay D Lohan, I Love You Always, me, Larry T Robinson O.R. Tn.

Anyone saw her pics with Samantha last night out for dinner? She looks awesome and natural, and she is actually without make up and dressed very simple and her hair free. And she looks awesome.Such a natural beauty.,SHE NEEDS TO NOT MAKE UP HER FACE HEAVILY AND LEAVE THAT HIDEOUS TAN.SHE LOOKS GREAT NATURALLY.

  17. Sarah says:

    i agree nina.
i’m not a big fan on the natural look,
but lindsay pulls it off well.
and she shouldn’t get those tans either
    >.<

  18. OPIE says:

I wish it was for a better movie, but what can you do? But most critics, and I agree, that Lohan had done as good a job as anyone could given the material. Perhaps better than anyone else could ever hope. But the movie itself suffered from poor writing. Can’t blame Lohan for that. She didn’t write it and likely didn’t choose to make that movie based on the script so much as getting to work with Jane Fonda. And there is good chemistry between Lohan and Fonda. I wouldn’t mind seeing them together in another, hopefully better, movie.

But regardless, it’s nice to be recognized. It is rather odd to hear about an award for a movie that came out over a year ago. I suspect the staff of the PRISM awards got wasted or something.

  19. Larry R says:

Aly, I am going to respond to that with something I have been keeping to myself privately, still not sure I should share this, or not share it, Lindsay’s Friend, here is also a partial answer to ” Why ” Lindsay is attacked so much….She is a more public figure than I am at present, so Evil can see her more openly with more of it’s agents to do the attacking, I pray for her on this too. O.K. here goes….Aly you ask if any of US has actually met or Knows Lindsay personally, Dave has actually met her, of course it was a fan signing etc, so She probably wouldn’t remember, I have ” MET ” Her, under the most unusual of circumstances, but only IF she had the exact same simultaneous ” Dream ” experience: I was dreaming along, just the usual stuff about being able to fly and all, when all of a sudden the Dream was interupted, and I was sitting at a desk in a ” training room ” with individual training machines on each desk, I realized where I was immeadiatly because I had been there before, I looked around the room, and it was full of people at the same more or less desks, then as I looked to my right, I saw Lindsay sitting at one of those Desks, looking VERRRY bewildered, like the ” how did I get here ” look, She got up, and walked to the door of the room, the Training Angel, was nowhere to be seen,( though She was obviously looking for what She thought was a teacher ) so she left the room, and went out into the hall, I realized instantly She would get into trouble that way, so I followed Her out into the hall, the Hall then was part of a REALLY big Mansion, Obviously HIS House, lit from everywhere, and nowhere all at the same time, She went down the Stairs, now we are talking Grand Staircase Stairs, and I followed her, took her hand, and spoke to her to reasure Her she wasn’t going nuts, and as we reached the bottom of the staircase, in the foyer, 3 of HIS servants came in from a side patio grand window entry, and spoke to us about He was waiting to talk to us, in HIS private chambers, up stairs, I recognised them as Angels at once, but I think She was still seeing them as servants, in white servants garb, we went back upstairs, with the Lead Angel, and went to HIS private drawing room, where HE came out dressed for Dinner, in Dinner aparel Tux, Tie and all, and HE spoke with us, at that point She grasped what was going on, and the rest of our conversation will remain private. Then later when I woke up, I could remember every facet of the Dream, if that’s what it was, with sharpness and clarity, and still do. So it IS possible that that wasn’t just a ” Dream ” as much as it was an experience, and IF She was actually there too, and remembers it, well, then I can say I met her.
GOD Bless You Always, Lindsay D Lohan, I Love You Always, me, Larry T Robinson O.R. Tn.
