Lindsay Lohan surrenders to police
Lindsay Lohan surrendered herself to the Beverly Hills Police yesterday in connection with her DUI charge on May 26. Lindsay Lohan went to the hospital after her car-meets-curb crash for a minor chest injury - there, the police arrested her for driving under the influence. Since then, Lindsay Lohan has spent most of her time in rehab.
At 4pm yesterday, Lindsay Lohan and her attorney quietly (and without paparazzi on her tail) walked into the Beverly Hills PD to be officially arrested on her DUI charge. She was taken into custody and was booked 15 minutes later.
Lindsay Lohan was charged with "California Vehicle Code Sections 23152 (a) & (b)" for driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level greater than .08 and with "California Vehicle Code Section 20002 (a)" for misdemeanor hit and run. .
Lindsay Lohan was released on her own recognizance an hour later - the norm for first time offenders - and is scheduled to appear in court on August 24.
A lot of sites are dramatizing this as Lindsay Lohan getting into trouble, but what she’s really doing is dealing with the process of her existing problems. Taking responsibility and doing it with dignity.

She handled the situation really well and with dignity as you said Arienna. Unfortunately a lot sites will turn everything Lindsay does into something negative.

With dignity? No. That is what she is required to do irrelevant if she has dignity or not. If she hit another Jorge Cruz Jr then maybe just maybe her driving under the influence would be taken seriously. Unfortunately that seems to be the only time when people take issues like these seriously but she could have killed another Jorge Cruz Jr.
It has nothing to do with dignity. It’s her RESPONSIBILITY to show up in court.

alright,i’ll try again…sometimes my disgust with the haters like this ‘natoochie’ character causes me to express my loathing for them with some over-the-top and flavorful language.sorry,miss arieanna.anyway,i want to know why the haters even bother coming here,as you are not fans and the above comment ‘i am so happy cuz lindsay is in jail and cuz i hate her very very much’ clearly demonstrates your failure to add anything positive or remotely useful to the discussion of her current legal issues.enough of you,natoochie-hater,take your negativity and HATE and find that rock you crawled out from.what,can’t find it-here,let me help you,BAMMMMM-a nice verbal kick and off you go.bye now,hater.anyway,on the subject of this post,dignity is turning yourself in,low-key and with no stalkerazzi mob following on her heels,instead of making the police come and get you,as in the case of the plastic parisite,and her o.j.-style news coverage,LOL.my only question is,how did miss Lindsay and her attorney elude the ever present STALKERazzis?i’ll bet those x17 fools are fuming over dropping the ball on this one,LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on a more positive note,i wish Lindsay the best of luck with her legal issues and look forward to seeing I Know Who Killed Me.peace

Hello All, And Lindsay !! First I would like to add MY 2 cents to the above fray, Lindsay as was said had COURAGE and went to the Police station, and presented herself to be arrested and charged, to respond to the issue of a warrent, instead of hiding, and running, and making the police find her. THAT TAKES A LEVEL OF COURAGE MOST PEOPLE DON’T HAVE. Including the Haters. When I had my little accident in Greenville NC. I also went to the Police Station, to findout if there really was a warrent or not, but mine was a misdemenor traffic violation as no alcohol was involved ( a true accident ) and no true Arrest, or Fingerprinting etc.( I was merely informed of the court date, now many years past. ) What She faced was far more nerve racking than what I went through, but Lindsay did it with good grace, and COURAGE, don’t ANY of you EVER forget that.!! what makes her a True Woman many of the HATERS will never develop. Yes She has problems, which one of you don’t ?? AND the second point, she is NOT ” IN JAIL ” Lindsay was released on bond. At least get your story straight….Oh no wait a minute what w-a-s I thinking, you are HATERS, and consequently LIARS at every given chance !!! And Thirdly NO mention of Cocaine was mentioned in the Arrest Warrent, just ” DUI ” which is itself serious enough, but again a first time offense, probable probation. and Extenuating efforts to get clean will impact the decision. Who Knows, maybe the Judge will mandate that Lindsay must come and live with ME as her punishment, for 90 days….. I should get so lucky.
