It is indeed a great photoshoot. I always loved Marilyn Monroe. In fact I had a huge crush on her when I was young(er).
Lindsay has an awesome body and I can imagine that Bert Stern has had a deja-vue experience during this shoot.

i have always disagreed with the ’seven wonders of the world’ list,as i believe the first wonder of the world,is the human female form,especially au naturel.Lindsay has a great form,has that old-world effect,alluring,sexy,and she is obviously comfortable with her body,at this stage of her career and self maturity.i love this photoshoot,especially the first and second photos after the cover shot,and the side view shot of her breasts pretty much finishes all the nasty ‘boobjob’ rumors of the smearNET since 2004.btw,i saw a photo of Marilyn in a similar pose from 1958,in a b/w photo book by famous 50s photog Cecil Beaton,so this topless shot is relevent,and tasteful.Lindsay has stated in past interviews,that she is a very sexual person,and sex appeal is a huge part of the showmanship dynamic,and she delivers.if you ever get the chance to see 1963,’the cinncinati kid’ with Ann Margret,you will see a ferociously sexual woman who dominates every scene shes in,so true of miss Lohan,and these photos just keeping proving my point,that Lindsay is the most fascinating,interesting,multi-dimensional,talented and complex entertainment personality to come along in a generation,not to mention a gale force of blistering sexuality and physical appeal.wow.i am still in awe of these photos and their vivid reminders of those gorgeous ladies of old hollywood,from Clara Bow to Audrey Hepburn.bravo,Lindsay,bravo.love always,a HUGE fan and friend.peace

Does anyone else but me get the ” { Ahem….} Humor ” in the Shot with the sheer with the R-E-D slashes on it, notice the position of the lower R-E-D colored slash, and think what shape is a flame, and what color is Fire ? Lindsay is having FUN with us, and her detractors. Good One Lindsay !!! I Like it. When I figured it out, I burst out laughing. What a sense of Humor, sophisticated and charming. I need YOU, You’re the only woman I’ve ever encountered that can possibly be my equal. Love You to the MAX.

I love her! I especially love the second and fourth ones but the last 1 just doesn’t look as effortless or as iconic as the rest but its still not bad. I don’t look at this as a recreation of Monroe or an imitation I just look at it as taking inspiration from a legend. There is something so special about Lindsay and for the life of me I can’t put my finger on it :)

i don’t know why everyone is like shocked about this nude photo shoot. she’s been flashing tits and showing her fish taco for like 3 years now. Come on guys, we’ve seen both before. it’s not a big deal. she’s so hot anyways. anything she does is great.

Lindsay Lohan, is indeed a Girl, and as She is 21, More than a Girl, a Woman, A beautiful Talented SMART INTELLIGENT Sexy Funny Delightful Warm Witty Wonderful Lovable Lovely Woman/Girl !! i recently bought a coffee-table book about Marilyn,titled ‘Marilyn Monroe,Platinum Fox’,250 pages of b/w and color photos of her,both career and personal life.amazing book,and it is startling how much Lindsay resembles MM in both the ‘new york’ photoshoot,and some photos of Lindsay as a blonde,in 2005 and 2007/8.the haters are always going to hate and say that they don’t look like each other in any way,but if you look past the hateful negativity of the smearNET and the scum that infest it,you will see the striking similarities between these two humanly imperfect,yet perfectly fantastic icons of showbiz.love you,Lindsay,awesome photoshoot,and keep the work coming,movie roles,music,magazine covers,photoshoots,whatever you put your mind,energy,and considerable talents to.screw the haters,and hold your head high,the best is yet to come.love always,a HUGE fan and friend.peace

Thank you for your kind comment Dave, it is truly heartwarming to have such loyal and devoted Knights, to defend our Lovely Ms. Lindsay D Lohan, and you are more prolific in it than I am, way to go. I appluad ! we her true fans will acknowledge her faults, and foibles, but be encouraging and uplifting during same. Truth What Lindsay needs more than anything right now, not yes men, ( or women ) but people who will stand up to the smear net hatred, and yet say truth, with compassion. thats what we are !!
