Here are some more elements from the interview. Lindsay Lohan looks back on her year and what it meant to her. Lindsay says she’s learned a lot, learned to live her life in a different way.

"I wasn’t taking the time to feel my feelings. Being away and going to a place where I could learn about that and take the time with a clear mind to get back on the right track was nice."

One of the lessons Lindsay learned was about family. Not seeing her father, Michael Lohan, was hard on her, as was spending too much time away from her family.

"I wasn’t taking any time to just sit and live and breathe. I was going, going, going, and that ran me down. It was a stressor. It upset me. I didn’t have a father to call, and that was a lot of the pain."

Lindsay Lohan enjoys being at home now. She loves her family, says they are amazing, and doesn’t want to take them for granted. I am glad Lindsay has her family now to give her some grounding in her life. Some of her friends too have changed. Some have evolved with her, and others she has sought out. Lindsay says her manager Jenni Muro is a big sister to her: "I don’t know what I’d do without Jenni!"

Lindsay says that the party scene is still tempting, being young and loving life. She loves people and music and being social. But also is enjoying just being at home, quiet and normal. Before, she was simply running away from what her home had become.

Lindsay Lohan is first to admit that getting back on track includes focusing on her career:

Getting back on track means refocusing attention on the talent she’s the first to admit she hasn’t fully released — a trifecta of acting, singing, and dancing.

Lindsay is still putting work into her music career, remaining optimistic. She says she’d like to work with Timbaland, Kanye West and 50 Cent if she could.

Lindsay does talk about her shopping, and the need to scale back because her priorities have changed. Of the many crates in storage, most are clothes. Many never worn. She would like to do something to benefit others.
