Lindsay Lohan for Interview Magazine

January 7, 2009 by Arieanna

Lindsay Lohan is the cover feature for the February 2009 edition of Interview Magazine. The feature includes a sultry & sexy photoshoot with the glamorous Lindsay Lohan as well as an interview!

In the very candid interview, Lindsay Lohan talks about what it’s like to live in the “fish bowl” that is Hollywood. Lindsay mentions how she’d like to give back, to do things that make her feel fulfilled, but hates that people assume it’s a press stunt. She’s annoyed not to have time to herself:

“There are things I want to do, and people don’t understand that. You know, my car accident that I got into, where I got my first charge, I wouldn’t have been speeding up like I was if I didn’t have people shoving cameras in my windows.”

Lindsay blames her accident on the paparazzi! And I really hope that legislation passes that gives police some enforcement to keep them further away - there’s no reason they should invade so much of her personal space. Lindsay says that the paparazzi are always “instigating and antagonizing you” in order to get pictures that will pay off.

Lindsay then goes on about how she got into her career and the misplaced assumptions that she wanted to be a “celebrity”, ending up turning her into a caricature of herself.

“In terms of what people see of me, I have become this girl who just loves to be photographed, doesn’t know how to focus, doesn’t know how to work on set, just loves the attention, knows how to go out at night, knows how to party. And you know what? I was 20 years old. I never went to college. And I lived maybe six months out of my life like that, doing something wrong, and then I stopped. God forbid I should have ever learned my lesson. But at this point it’s so hard for people to even believe that there was a lesson to be learned at all, because they just think I’m wrong. All these people think I’m never going to be right, because it’s more interesting to fabricate this other girl. Who wants to read a tabloid story about a girl who is doing well?”

What did Lindsay want to be?

“I wanted to be a movie star. But movie stars are not what they used to be.”

Lindsay goes on to talk about the “great ones” in film, and the lack of those being made in Hollywood these days. She then talks about Marilyn Monroe and the respect she got for her daring re-interpration of the Marilyn Monroe photoshoot.

Lindsay mentions that she just got a new script from Charles Shyer, who co-wrote her first film, The Parent Trap. Despite this good news, Lindsay seems worried that the misconception of herself by people - in the industry, the media and fans - is hurting her ability to pursue acting.

“But what hurts me the most is that I work just as hard as any other actress around my age, like Scarlett Johansson, but I just don’t get the opportunities that they get because people are so distracted by the mess that I created in my life. But that doesn’t mean it’s going to last forever.”

Lindsay talks about her life more candidly. Read the rest of the interview here. Or pick up a copy of Interview magazine on January 20th.

there are some other great shots of Lindsay in this magazine interview/photoshoot,including an incredible closeup of her eyes, absolutely WOW. i am still as big a fan now,if not more, then as the first time i saw miss Lohan onscreen,as Anna coming out of her bedroom at the beginning of Freaky Friday, way back in oct03. while i wish LL happiness and success in her personal life,it has no bearing on why i am such a big fan of hers,it’s photos like these, movies, music, mag covers, and everything else that makes up this unique and incomparable triple threat superstar. i don’t care for 95% of modern hollywood, and even the few people that i like, pale in comparison to my utter fascination with this divine angeLL in leggings,so yeah,Lindsay, there are plenty of fans out there, just like me,waiting for that one big role, and we shall see you on that oscar stage…

    LLove you,bossy lady :)

U CHANGED ME, Lindsay! i learned so much from ur movies.. if i ever had a chance to meet u, talk to u, this would be the best moment of my life.. u r amazing person, great actress, beautiful woman, who doesnt give up! u r from the “great ones” !

i just read the full interview on MSN,and she is
pretty much verifying what i always suspected,
and that is that HollyWood is not what it used
to be,and the so-called products (movies)that they churn out are just forgettable, and it is a
reflection of this”race to the bottom mentality”

i always said that Lindsay is a real talent born in a un -creative,greed fueled “New Pollution”
where tabloidism now dictates peoples careers and not talent, that’s what Hollywood is becoming, the tabloid capital of the world,it has
replaced the fine arts that used to define
    Hollywood

sometimes i use the quote “Lindsay is to good
for Hollywood”,as for her earlier problems, these
problems are nothing uncommon with young
    superstar celebrities,yet,because Hollywood
is fueled now via the tabloids, with no real
quality movie producers, she is just another
piece of cannon fodder for the Hollywood
tabloid machine,i do think that she can survive
this,in so much that she has a big name in
    Hollywood,but things are different today
and Lindsay is somewhat of a classical celebrity
so i can only pray that things will eventually
    fall intoplace for her

  9. Rachel Rule:dave must visit LG.com often says:

t wolf…i love that you called Lindsay a ‘classical celebrity’,so true,as she is the last of the old hollywood archetype, hugely talented and unique. hollywood today is nothing more than a wannabe village of idiots, ruled by scarjo and the vile, dead eyed sock-puppets of ‘the hills’,LOL. Lindsay consumes 98% of my entertainment interests, and i just don’t find anyone else appealing or worthy of my time. sure there are other actors/actresses out there who are talented, but they just don’t hold my interest. i cannot explain my utter fascination with the divine miss Lohan, and every true fan of LL knows exactly what i’m talking about and how i feel. that said,LLove you, bossy lady, get out there in 2009 and do your thing!!! peace:)
