  they probably limit her smokebreaks at promises and since she is out in town at the AA meeting,she is taking advantage of the situation and sucking down a few more cancer sticks while she is outside the rules of the rehab.when i attended AA meetings for 3 years following my DUI,there were always chain smokers and highly fidgety types who you could tell were ex-smokers,and of course,the coffee abusers.my girlfriend will try to smoke less around me,but if we go to a party or a work function,she will chain-smoke like a chimney.i have never understood women who smoke,including my mom,a smoker.it is a known fact that women are much more susceptible to lung and throat cancer due to smoking and why on earth would you with asthma? my mom had asthma and smoked those nasty menthol cigs and passed away from lung cancer,god rest her soul.my point in relaying this personal stuff is tell young girls to just say no,that no matter how sexy or anti-authority that smoking is portrayed by hollywood and the media,it is severely damaging to your long-term health and in the romance department,is a complete turn-off to non-smoking guys.you try kissing the marlboro girl everyday-i know,because i do!!! pack-a-day smokers breath,UGH!! i really wish that Lindsay,in confronting her demons,would try to kick that habit and for pete’s sake,the asthma!! best wishes for non-smoking good health and a happy 21st b’day.peace

  That is just the only thing I don’t like about Lindsay - smoking is just disgusting, but when you are trying to quit other addictions I guess it’s a way to relax - I’m not a smoker so I don’t really get it though.

  I guess she can quit when she’s feeling better.

  The problem is that it is within Lindsay’s own free will to smoke, however, in her recent photoshoots she has been posing with cigarettes in her hand/mouth a whole lot more.

  For someone who did Disney films and therefore gained a huge younger fan base, she should not have allowed those pictures to be published. She may not consider herself a role model, but she is anyway- it’s out of her control to decide who and who does not worship her. I get the impression that she is trying to convey a sultry, sexy, rebellious image with the smoking- and that is not gonna go down well with her fans.

  Aside from this, there is the obvious health risk. But it’s sad because everybody in Hollywood smokes- even the Olsen twins!! Young girls around the same age as Lindsay all smoke- I think the only exception may be Hilary Duff. So the problem has kind of spread irreversibly…

  everyone needs to get over the smoking issue. right now she is trying to quit serious drugs, and from experience i know how irritating it is for people to be on your case about smoking when you just gave up some heavy narcotics. one thing at a time. she could be doing far worse things to herself than smoking, and while trying to give up drugs, smoking is often one of the only things an addict has left of that part of their identity. it is calming for an addict during such a stressful time and really would be too overwhelming to give up with the drugs simultaneously. she is young and has plenty of time to heal her lungs. give her a break.

  you would be smoking to if you were trying to kick a drug/grinking problem. she is fine! And very chic here by the way =)

  i find the headline is a bit hard. she smokes a cigarette on the way. and ??? maybe she take the other one with her just because she want to smoke only one cigarette there. or it´s her last one. and @ nicci: quit smoking isn´t the point of rehab. and smoking helps in those situations, even if you smoke or not.

  aimee — thank you for your supportive information — sure we would all love to see Lindsay in “the picture of health” — sans cigarettes — but I agree with you. As much as I would rather see her not smoking at all, I would rather see her smoking some — and coping — than killing herself with a drug/alcohol (and smoke) suicide cocktail the way she was! I think it’s a good trade-off — considering the rest.

  yeah — so, at least she’s not as bad looking here as she is in those (really distasteful) pictures that are posted in “Lindsay Lohman’s ex-bodyguard dishes on her life” — she looks really bad there — this is a great improvement — I will be glad when we don’t have to see her looking the way she looks in that other post, won’t you?

  jorg….what the HELL kind of person are you???? the only people who deserve death are murderers,rapists,and child molesters.you are no better than the spoiled,untalented,pseudo-celebrities shitney and parasite.WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?! you need to check yourself for the hypocrisy virus and pray to some type of higher power because karma is no laughing matter,young man! i despise 95% of h’wood,the music industry,and a lot of the sportsworld,but, at the end of the day,i realize that they are all a bunch of flawed,idiotic humans just like me,only a little richer.so it is a waste of energy to be angry at the stupidity of entertainers and i would advise you,mr jorg,to stop your wishing death on people you don’t even know,and moderate your comments in the future.to quote the great meryl streep,”that’s all”.peace

  Ahahahah omg Jorg….is that your scientific opinion? If you chain smoke for a few months you will die?? Come on. I know 90 year olds who have smoked all their lives and are still here. Then again, I know people who have never smoked who get cancer at 20. Not saying smoking is good but I think there are bigger problems she needs to work on right now then smoking.

  It’s so unnecessary to make hateful remarks. About 90 % of all comments about Lindsay on various blog sites are hateful and it makes me so sad. It’s at least positive that she still has some real fans. I will always love and support Lindsay.

  Several comments:

  1) People in rehab are encouraged NOT to try to give up more than one addiction at a time. A friend of mine did 60 days in a drug/alcohol rehab in California, and was specifically told not to worry about his smoking habit.

  2) Believe me when I say that Lindsay Lohan’s lifestyle is far more likely to be the cause of her premature demise than her cigarette habit.
