Lindsay Lohan Cast in “The Other Side”

Lindsay Lohan has landed a role in a new movie! Lindsay has joined an indie fantasy comedy called The Other Side.
Lindsay will star in The Other Side with Woody Harrelson (Cheers, No Country for Old Men), who previously co-starred with Lindsay in A Prairie Home Companion. Also co-starring are Giovanni Ribisi, Dave Matthews and Alanis Morissette. Kent Harper is producer and David Michaels is director; Harper says of Lindsay:
“Lindsay’s very aware of people’s perceptions of her. She’s really committed to doing what she has to in order to change that.”
The Other Side is about a grad student who spends her summer working at a scientific institute on a remote island. There, she discovers an eccentric community who are hiding the a secret tragedy that took place many years before.
Filming for The Other Side is scheduled to begin in October on an island off the coast of Massachusetts.

Is she playing the main character? It seems more like she’d be playing a supporting role looking at the IMDb page.
Which is not a bad thing. If she can get a stand-out role, whether support or main, then she’ll regain some clout and show people what she can do.
I believe she is the main character, yes. That’s how Variety is reporting it. imdb is sometimes behind-the-times on little details.

Although 2008 may have been her worst year,
she was still more successful than 99% of all
entertainers with her television,movies,magazine covers,music,cosmetics,clothing business,etc.
She doesn’t need a comeback.
She’s always been a success.
Finally some good news. I was beginning to believe that she was boicotted or something.
Let’s hope this will be a box office succes.

Oh, I doubt if Lindsay would be boycotted, even if all the rumors were true. While getting on some kind of Hollywood black list may be possible, a resourceful actress can always find work, even if it’s in low budget fare like Mega Shark Vs Giant Octopus.
Hmm… Actually, I think Lindsay is the one thing that could make a movie like that better.
