Lindsay Lohan Arrest Warrant a “Misunderstanding”
March 15, 2009 by Julie Bonner
A warrant was issued for the arrest of Lindsay Lohan for allededly failing to comply with a court order that were related to a drunk driving incident. Beverly Hills police called for Lindsay to “surrender” and said, “The warrant stems from the May 2007 arrest of Miss Lohan for DUI [drink-driving] and hit-and-run.”
An attorney for Lindsay has issued a statement saying that the warrant was a complete misunderstanding.
“Since her case was resolved, Ms. Lohan has been in compliance with all the terms and conditions of her probation and all orders of the court,” Lindsay lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley said in a statement Saturday, referring to the star’s 2007 conviction for driving under the influence. “The warrant issued on Friday was, in our view, born out of a misunderstanding which I am confident I can clear up next week.”
A hearing has been set for Monday morning, which L.A. DA spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons said the judge wants Lindsay in attendance.
