Lindsay Gets Commitment Ring?

The Daily Mirror is reporting that the gold ring that Lindsay Lohan received from Samantha Ronson for her birthday present was both expensive and significant. They are reporting that Sam bought Lindsay a diamond ring from Cartier, for $22,000, that is a commitment ring.
"It’s not an engagement ring – simply a token of her commitment."
Lindsay Lohan, who has a known love of flashy rings and of wearing them on her ring finger without significance, has yet to publicly acknowledge a relationship-beyond-friendship with Samantha Ronson. Other reports remind us that Lindsay & Sam have been together nearly every day for months, and that Lindsay has not been dating any men in the time she’s been with Sam.

I would LOVE if Lindsay and Sam come out to the wold and speak about there relationship…As for the ring…If it really is a engagement ring i would be happy for them…We all see that Lindsay is happy beeing with Sam…So why don’t we let Lindsay be happy with who ever she want’s boy or girl….Sam you take care of our GODDESS,keep her happy and be beside her always ok…..LLove you sweet,unique,beyond beautiful Princesss…..peace

You know, I’ve been on the “not my business until she decides to confirm thing” end of this debate, but the words “and be with the person that I care about” seem needlessly vague if she and Sam are just friends with nothing else going on. She would have just said “spending time with my friends” or something like that. “Person I care about” is a typical roundabout way of saying “We’re together. You all know we’re together. It’s not like we’re hiding it or anything. But we’re still not ready to just come out and say it, so we’re going to be coy about it. Wink, wink. Nudge, nudge.” Which could mean she’s getting closer to being ready to come out.
Good for her, I say.
I’ve always believed that Lindsay and Sam are a couple. It’s pretty obvious. Nobody spends that much time with their “best friend” especially when your “best friend” is openly gay. If you look at her birthday pics there’s one where it’s just Lindsay cutting her cake, you will notice her diamond ring on her engagement finger.
Anyhoo, I’m just happy that Lindsay seems much more stable and settled than she’s been in a long time. And she doesn’t have to “come out”. Why should she? It’s pretty obvious to anybody what’s going on with Sam and she doesn’t have to hold a press conference to profess her love.
Madeleine, I understand where you’re coming from, but consider this: Sam is an openly gay woman who spends an enormous amount of time with Lindsay.
Lindsay hasn’t dated a guy since leaving rehab last October. It’s been reported they live together, they travel together, they dine together, they’re together all of the time running errands. Do you spend that much time with your best friend?

i have never understood all this ‘lesbian/bisexual’ jazz,when nothing has ever been stated by miss Lohan herself,and this whole ‘relationship’ thing with sam could be just a really great friendship,born out of years of hanging out,tough times in 2007,and sams being there when Lindsay hit the skids and a really dark area in her lifes journey. Lindsay said in her radio interview that she wanted to be with her family and the person she really cares about,that could mean anything,and she could be referring to sam,as in the sense that sam helped her through the rough patch,a loving shoulder to lean on,a non-judgemental and listening ear,someone who had her back,when all the fame-seeking ‘friends’ and fairweather ‘fans’ fled in the wake of her personal issues. i don’t believe ANYTHING on the smearNET,trashloid media,garbage media like fox ‘noise’,rumors,speculation,out of context photos,NOTHING unless Lindsay says it herself,ON VIDEO,like when we saw that hilarious tmz skit,where LL was poking fun of herself,trying to choose between cheerios and honey-nut cheerios,so funny. unless i see an interview with a reputable person,i choose to let Lindsay live her life,live and let live. and by the way,Lindsay is a very touchy-feely and giving personality,she hugs,holds hands,kisses,and shows a lot of affection for her family and her friends,male and female. i don’t think you can say anything,based on photos,because Lindsay is so affectionate,impulsive,and outgoing,and i love that about her. it does not matter to me about her preferences in relationships and friendships,as that is her business and her life to love.Lindsays personal life has no bearing on my love of her acting,singing,talents,beauty,persona,and the many other reasons i love this astounding triple threat sensation,the still incompartable Queen of CooLL,the one and only Lindsay Lohan. i got your back,bossy lady,now get out there and do your thang-
