Lindsay finds solace in gardening & horses

Lindsay Lohan is taking solace in the relaxing surroundings of Cirque Lodge – a stark departure from her party lifestyle in Hollywood.
According to Michael Lohan, Lindsay Lohan has taken up gardening and loves to tend the horses:
Troubled actress LINDSAY LOHAN has taken up gardening to help her battle her drink and drugs demons. The Mean Girls star – who is currently residing at the Cirque Lodge rehabilitation centre in Utah – took great pride in showing off her gardening skills to her father Michael during their recent reunion (06Sep07). The 21-year-old’s father also reveals Lohan has been caring for the facility’s horses. He says, "Lindsay laughed with excitement as she told me how she spends her days. She spends hours writing songs about what she has been through. "And she helps look after the horses. Every day she helps muck them out, feed them and ride them. She has taken up gardening and loved showing me the roses she helps look after."

Well… I have quite a garden myself.
It is more of a hobby gotten outta hand:
1.5 ha.( stands for hectare, I don’t know how much that is in acres).
All sorts of fruittrees(apple, cherie, pear, prune).
All sorts of beriebushes and plants. I grow my own vegetables.. All sorts of flowers, a rosarium an arboretum.
In the spring i sell asparagus i harvest from my own land.
Almost a small estate.If you can talk about an estate of 1.5 ha. If she happens to be in the neighbourhood one of these days she can check that out. Maybe we can share some gardening tips.:p In the meantime; get better Lindsay.

That’s quite a big one larry, 1.5 hectare is equal to about 3.7 acres. Do you work it alone ? Lindsay is a good girl after all, taking care of horses and roses, doing gardening. How sweet, she should take care of herself that way.
As Dave said where are the horses? We never see them riding. Do they just groom them?

My parents help me.
They take care of the vegetable garden and help me harvesting asparagus and fruit during the seasons.
I do the cultivating and the pruning. The garden is completely surrounded with hedges.
She’s a sweet and caring person…I Love You Lindsay…4 ever and ever your fan…4 ever and ever adicted to you…Peace
Why don’t we ever see a picture of her riding a horse? It would be more pleasing that seeing her smoke.
I’m not sure that riding is the central part of having horses for the program; caring for a horse and getting a horse to trust you (and in turn, learning to trust the horse) may be more important than riding one — especially for people who have deep-seated issues with trust. A horse can be very sensitive to trust “vibes” and as such, can give you some pretty good feedback on how you’re doing in that area. There may also be some training, and it may result in riding. But horses can also be skittish and somewhat ADD — so riding one is never without some risks — perhaps also part of the program — getting the horse and rider to work with each other.
Cirque has a web site — why not ask them?

So Lindsay — ** ENJOY ** — what you have never had time to enjoy before. And NEVER forget what you are experiencing there — you will need to come back to this place (no — not Cirque, silly!) But come back to a quiet place — an “adequiet” place (I still love that word).

OK, I’ve seen the horses. Yes, it’s true there are horses. It really does seem like a nice place. I’m still not sure about the whole trust issue thing. Lindsay’s trust issues aren’t a fantasy but are based on real things that have happened to her.
Maybe she’s training to ride one now. Has anyone seen her riding a horse before ? I mean before she went rehab.
… I never intended to indicate that Lindsay does not have real trust issues — most people do — especially after they have been through the personal and family upheavals that she has gone through !!!
