“Labor Pains” Straight to Cable

March 26, 2009 by Arieanna

Labor PainsOur last news on Lindsay Lohan’s movie Labor Pains had it pegged for a US release date of May 16th. A new look at imdb shows a date of May 23rd. However, it looks like both of those are wrong! News broke today that Labor Pains is skipping a theatrical release, instead going to cable and DVD!

Labor Pains will premiere on ABC Family in July, 2009 and will be released to DVD a month later by the film’s production company, Nu Image/Millennium Films. The movie is expected to hit theaters in International markets, just not here.

In Labor Pains, Lindsay Lohan plays Thea Clayhill, a woman who pretends to be pregnant in order to avoid being fired from her job. Thea realizes that her life “doesn’t suck” as a pregnant woman, so she keeps the farce up through the 9 months of her ‘pregnancy.’ Check out a preview here.

There are also reports that Lindsay has lined up a new romantic comedy co-starring Nick Cannon. This film is about a girl trying to make it in New York’s fashion world, then who gets set up on a date with a blind guy. Sounds… interesting?

    Arieanna,
hi,how are you? i have always loved your site, keep up the great work. just wanted to say that the ‘nic cannon’ movie is a recycled rumor from 2004:back then,it was titled,’blindsided’,a dramedy about interracial dating, with cannon as a blind guy,and LL as the girl who falls for him. however,it was rewritten in 2005,retitled as ‘blind dating’,starring Chris Pine(from Just My Luck)and some actress from India, low budget in the wal-mart bin in 2007. the ‘net continues to confound me with its blatant rumors/lies/trash,but i try to clear things up when i can. that said,i am really wanting to see ‘labor pains’,whether it’s on ABC or in the theater. LLove you,Lindsay:)
