Directors who could ’save’ Lindsay Lohan

February 20, 2008 by Arieanna

Assuming Lindsay Lohan needs saving, Film.com has put together a list of directors whom they think could "save" Lindsay Lohan’s career.

Now, for the most part, Lohan shouldn’t make the mistake of trying to be taken seriously again right away. That’s the long and lonely road to nowhere. She’d have to be very careful. I’m making it my personal job to try and keep Lohan out of the gutter, not in, so I’ve put forth a list of directors who can save this talented young woman’s career.

The suggested directors are:

  • Wes Anderson or David O. Russel - as supporting actress in an artier, comic film to get the right kind of attention. "She has talent. She can act. So why not take part in a Wes Anderson or David O. Russell ensemble and raise a few eyebrows?"
  • Tim Burton - well, we know Lindsay is already trying for a role as Alice, but they think Lindsay should "go dark" and be a lead in a weird Burton film
  • Judd Apatow or Greg Mottola - a funny hit with the IT guys of comedy
  • Quentin Tarantino or Robert Rodriguez - if Rodriguez can make Elijah Wood scary, he can do anything. They suggest a sexy role.
  • Joe Wright - get a british accent, off Keira Knightley, then land a role.

What do you think??

  1. Some good ideas I guess. I think that Lindsay is good at comedy. I really liked “Just My Luck” so perhaps something artier but comic might do. The idea of Lindsay and Tarantino is interesting. I’d like to see her in an action movie too.

She’s got to do something completely different then any role she’s ever had. It has to be a quality movie too. (Doesn’t have to be a lead role.) Then she will possibly be seen as a talented actress instead of something else she is not.

Okay everybody Jet Back a few steps. First let me say this, Lindsay is SO Talented that She does not NEED a ” comeback ” role, that’s as if to say She was ever really Gone to begin with ! Many Stars take a year or more off between films, while they relax, get the next role etc. They just don’t do it a s Publicly as She did. Thats not an Indication of Her ever being GONE in the first place, so no ” ComeBack ” role is necessary ! Second, She can Get any PART that pleases her, make no mistake about that this young ( Brilliant Talented Beautiful, Lovely, S-E-X-Y, Alive!!!!!!!) Woman, IS B-A-N-K-A-B-L-E, so much so that not to put too fine a point on it, She is still sought after by the very Hollywood Moguls, who have openly Critisized Her, Secretly ( they REALLY DON’T want the Public to know this ) Have wanted her all along for various parts, that only her Bankability can fill. Roles that Kiera Knightly, or Jessica Alba, simply won’t do for. That Takes the one and Only my Lovely, Lindsay D Lohan to fill. ( it’sssss MYYYY P r r r escious !![ he wispers, as he strokes the round shiny golden object he is holding ] ) !! The New faces on Hollywooods rosters, lack that indefinable something, that savouirfaire that Lindsay posesses. The ability to be the Ball, no wait thats the wrong movie …..I got it, the ability to be the Charecter ! To make US believe that She is _____ and you fill in the Blank, whether it is Alice from Alice in wonder land, or whether it is Ms. Albright from Just My Luck ! She plays the Charecter, and we stop seeing Lindsay, for a few brief moments, we see LOLA, or CADY Herron, etc. that Charm she brings with her to the Screen her Presence, to capture the Lens itself. Holds our attention, I have never seen a bored face in anyone who has watched any of her movies, whether they Liked the movie, or Disliked the movie, they Watched it, and Her, to the credits !! Whether they realized they were doing it or not !! I have never seen anyone get up and walk OUT of one of her movies, so captivating is our little charmer. My Beautiful Lindsay D Lohan.
GOD Bless You Always, Lindsay D Lohan, I Love You Always, me, Larry T Robinson O.R. Tn.

  5. Sam says:

Lindsay, I am complicated to speak by the card English, but I think you understand me:
    if “Just My Luck” – 100% :
    —————–
    “Mean girls” – 110%
    “I.K.W.K.M” – 50%
    “Georgia Rule” – 90%
    “Freaky Friday” – 90%
    “Get a clue” – 70%
Look funny comedy with good music – the best, the 100% good luck! Lindsay you talented actress…you very talented!
I want see you happy…your friend always.

  6. Roll On Patty says:

I think we all agree that her career needs saved (esp seeing as Hollywood destroys its talents as quickly as its built them up) Lindsay is not taken seriously by anyone in Hollywood & is perceived as media/paparazzi fodder although we all know how much talent she has. Which is why I agree smaller roles in a few decent productions would slowly rebuild her reputation.

  7. Harry S says:

Maybe it’s a crazy idea but why not let Tina Fey write her next project-it worked well with Mean Girls-.
Then she herself does the directing (and the leading role of course)-It worked with the videoclip Confessions of a broken heart-.
    Then promothing goes via SNL.
    …Just a thought.

  8. bluefox says:

Take your pick of Directors, although Quentin, Robert, and Tim are my favorites-Great People too.

  9. AmerikanuLuvLindsay says:

Larry R i agree with you 100%….Lindsay is unique and the best actress in the world…Love always…peace

  10. somewhere along the road of career recovery,Lindsay should do another comedy with the director of two of her best movies,Mark Waters, who directed Freaky Friday and Mean Girls.Mark got the best out of her,and a reteaming of these two would be a surefire hit, something that Lindsay needs,to make the fickle american movie audiences forget about her personal issues.also,a comedy with Garry Marshall would definitely be a hit,as they did great together on Georgia Rule, but, while that fabulous movie had its comedic moments,it was definitely a drama.anyway, love you,Lindsay, and stick it to the haters,no matter what movies you do;keep killing the haters with great screen roles, great music, photoshoots, magazine covers, and basically, anything you put your mind and considerable talents to.love always,a huge fan and friend.peace

Simon:”i’m going to show you the top to this stupid puzzle,so we can finish it,and you can go home.”
    Rachel:”i won’t look,not looking…i’m not looking!”
Simon:”how are you supposed to do a jigsaw puzzle,if you don’t know what it is supposed to look like?”
Rachel:”it’s like telling you how your life will end.just makes everything in between, killing time.”
Georgia Rule 2007,directed by Garry Marshall
