Dina Lohan Receiving Top Mom Award
As I mentioned previously, Dina Lohan was honored last night as one of Lond Island’s Top 20 Moms, an award given by Mingling Moms.
Dina Lohan brought her own mom to the event, 82-year-old Ann Sullivan. Despite how loving that looks, Dina was not in the least bit hesitant to remind guests that she is the mother of Lindsay Lohan, saying:
"I was just watching Lindsay record a track for her third album a few days ago with Snoop Dogg… Lindsay is a wonderful and loving and caring girl who is completely misunderstood. People forget that she’s only 21. I mean what were you like when you were 21?"
Kind of out of context for the award, no? Was she defending her right to be a Top Mom? Citing Lindsay’s accomplishments as her own? My opinions only, but… oh, and Dina says she has never "partied" with Lindsay… if she ever goes to clubs, it’s as Lindsay’s "manager."
Judging by your comments, I know a lot of you share my opinion on the WTF of this award. I honestly think it’s a bit of a publicity stunt. Like "ok, so how many celebrity moms do we have on Long Island? 20? Mmm, k. Let’s honor the Top 20 Moms!" Apparently there was a poll, and Dina placed first, but it’s not online anymore…
One of the Mingling Moms made mention to Radar that they can’t "hold her mom responsible for everything [Lindsay does]", and yet the award is about being a "mom", so… Anyway, take another look at Dina receiving her award:

Arieanna hey,
no offence but im a HUGE lindsay fan like big big big. and i have been following lindsay for a few years now, seen all the pictures, seen every clip, seen every pap video EVERYTHING no joke, and in every single interview where lindsay has mentioned her mom..its been positive. ‘who’s your hero lindsay?’..’My mommy’. i mean, she loves her mom. i dont think dina is the main key culprit for lindsays problems..i think its more to do with her father. her mom was never the one that did drugs, did fraud and went to jail. and dont get me wrong im not a *dina groupie* or anything..but i dont understand all the hate she gets..and i do believe theyre all pretty much misunderstood. besides, we dont know the full story what actually happens within their family. its private and should remain private. but hey, maybe im wrong maybe dina is the evil mom that wants to live through her kids blah blah blah..but i honestly feel the media has overblown it..ive only ever seen 2 pictures of dina at a club with lindsay..and that was her birthday..a couple of years ago. i mean dina is not the only parent who’s kids have dabbled with drugs..shes one in a million. its not necessarily down to her.
But i do agree with you that their really is no point in this award and stuff..argh i dunno i just dont feel that its all dina’s fault. its more the insecurities lindsay has from her childhood with her parents problems and a mixture of that with the huggeee weight of the media, her age and growing up in a land of temptation. you know, so
