Daddy Lohan proud of Lindsay going to church

June 19, 2007 by Arieanna

Just as I predicted, Michael Lohan is very proud of his little daughter for going to church. Lindsay Lohan was spotted covertly going to church last week, and has now cancelled her birthday bash – signs Michael is reading as positive to her recovery.

In an interview scheduled to air tonight on The Insider, the outspoken Dad says he’s pleased with his daughter’s progress. "Lindsay has found this righteous path because she’s going to church and that’s a good sign."

Another good sign? The cancellation of her 21st birthday party at PURE in Las Vegas. Michael Lohan tells The Insider, "it was absurd and thank God she called it off."

Lohan and his daughter have been estranged since his 2005 conviction on DUI and assault charges. A recovering alcoholic himself, Lohan has been vocal about his ex-wife’s parenting skills and his daughter’s need for structure. He told the New York Post in May: "The people out there [in Hollywood] with her are in it for the money. They want to see what they can get. She needs to go [to rehab] and my ex-wife [Dina Lohan] should go with her."

    Hi Lindsay! :-)

There are a LOT of us who ARE PROUD – and happy — for your recovery. I SO HOPE you will continue to turn in this direction. Even so, know that the answers you will need — and will find — will not always be easy — there will always be questions — and some without any answer, at least not right away — only to trust Him and His Love for you. At our last moment in this life, none of has any more assurance than that — but — that’s all the assurance any of us needs. Learn about Him — Who He is — what HE has done, and how much He loves EACH of us. I hope that you will find a good friend and “big sister” in there in church — I am praying for your friendship and time together — and most of all that you will come to KNOW, TRUST, and RECEIVE His Love for you.

I can’t speak for your father — only he can — and I can’t begin to know what difficulties there may be between you and him — but I pray that the faith he has found is a true faith in The Only One True God and Savior of us all. As God intends it — I pray that, if your father’s faith is true, and you also find true faith, that you and he will be reconciled in God’s due time. So — your father may indeed be very proud of you.

I know I AM!!! :’-) … REAL HAPPY tears for you, my dearest Lindsay!!!

Ok — about the smoking — I know I’ve “mentioned” it before — but, in a way, I’m *almost* glad to see the smoking — that means you have left some “other” means of coping behind — yes? And that’s GOOD! :-) But even better will be when you won’t have to cope so hard, when you find the support you need to cope — so you are FREE — and won’t even need to smoke — that day may be coming sooner than you think — that is also my prayer.

Continuing to hope, and even more — standing WITH YOU in the tide of incessant trashing that seems to never end. I have “sworn off” believing ANY further rumors that come out – the rumor mill is simply a toilet that needs to be flushed – it’s really starting to smell pretty bad – don’t you think? Well, maybe it has ALWAYS been that way, but it’s gotten really noticeable lately! In any case. God must surely have a special plan for you, Lindsay, because I have NEVER seen the “opposition” so furiously bothered and stirred up to put you down!

Be STRONG, our dearest Lindsay, and know that many who truly love you are standing with you. None of us is perfect, and none of us have all the answers, but we are here for you for whatever we can do, if nothing else, just to be here and let you know we are here.
Whatever you fear — trust it to His Care — I KNOW there must be some fearful things in your life — perhaps from some of those closest to you – perhaps even some things about yourself that you don’t understand (that has happened to me!) — it’s ok to be afraid – in fact, it’s wise, to a point — but it’s not ok to let it cripple and wound you — like it almost has.

As I write this, I am listening to an album – “A Heart That Knows You” – by Twila Paris – do you know her? There are several songs I think you would enjoy on this album – pick up a copy if you don’t already have one – I would love to know what you think of the song, “Do I Trust You?”

Continuing to pray for the best and hope for the best for you – for your younger sister, Ali, and brother – your entire family – each in their own way, I remain, as always, your (increasingly hopeful, more joyful – but not so naïve as to think it’s all over – nor is it ever , at least in this life), “Affectionate Fan”

Has he learnt nothing from the way Dina Lohan is view by … well everyone.

He can be proud of her, but he should so stop talking about his daughter in public – IT IS NOT HELPING HER in any way.

Who needs enemies when you have family members like that!

    Dear Lindsey,
I am so proud of you. You will find peace in the Lord. He only wants what is good for you & he totally Loves & cares about you. He is Alpha & Omega the beginning & end. He is with you when you feel everyone is against you. He trusts & believes in you. Just be strong & commit to the Lord
whatever you do & your plans will succeed. (Proverbs 16:3) We all face challenges and difficult times. God has plans for you Lindsey. So put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand you ground. (Ephesians 6:13) Don’t forget for the joy of the Lord is your strength. (Nehemiah 8:10). Lindsey, you are God’s own handiwork, recreated in Christ that you may do the good works that God predestined (Ephesians 2:10) So peace out & God Bless you.

Ps. He that is within is greater than he that is in the world…Walk by faith not by sight…:)

    Love a friend
