There are news reports out today that Lindsay Lohan is being sued for her spray tanner, Sevin Nyne. Jennifer Sunday has filed a federal lawsuit with the US District Court in Tampa accusing Lindsay Lohan and Sevin Nyne co-creator Lorit Smith of breach of contract, theft of trade secrets, civil conspiracy, intentional interference with contractual relations and deceptive and unfair trade practices.

Jennifer Sunday, a chemist, claims she had a deal with Lorit Simon’s company to develop a tan line, but refused to sell her secret formula of 11 herbs and spices to Lorit & Lindsay. She now claims those ingredients are the basis of Lindsay’s Sevin Nyne product.

“It was initially envisioned [Sunday] would manufacture the product and ship out the spray to Ms. Simon’s company,” plaintiff attorney Marcia Cohen tells E! News. “Now we see Ms. Lohan taking credit for having created Ms. Sunday’s formula and product.”

Lindsay Lohan has not yet released a public statement about the accusations, but she did respond to someone on Twitter saying:

“look-i wouldnt lie about something that i worked on with people for 3 1/2years-it works on every color skin, & works great. xo”

Update: Lindsay Lohan has posted again to her Twitter, slamming Perez Hilton reporting the claim with a negative spin (of course):

“Leave it to @perezhilton to put out FALSE information. No formula was stolen for Sevin Nyne. It’s a woman looking for a payday. That’s it!”

I hope this finally shows Lindsay that Perez is no fan of hers and that his constant praise of her on Twitter is just kissing up!

Lindsay Lohan’s latest movie, Labor Pains, will be premiering on ABC Family in July of 2009, but it will also be released to both DVD and Blu-ray on August 4, 2009.

In Labor Pains, Lindsay Lohan plays Thea Clayhill, a woman who pretends to be pregnant in order to avoid being fired from her job. Thea realizes that her life “doesn’t suck” as a pregnant woman, so she keeps the farce up through the 9 months of her ‘pregnancy.’ Check out a preview here.

Lindsay’s Labor Pains co-star, Cheryl Hines, recently spoke up again about working with Lindsay on the movie. She knows that Lindsay has it hard with the media and that Lindsay is “still a young person trying to figure it out.”

Creators of the now-laucned tanning mist Sevin Nyne, Lindsay Lohan and Lorit Simon, appeared yesterday in the Santa Monica Sephora store to talk about their new product. Nobody has put together an article yet, so I’m not sure what they said, but it looks like there was a product demonstration stage to the event:

Looking tanned herself (from the Hawaii sun, not her self-tanner), Lindsay Lohan returned from her vacation to LA for the launch of her tanning mist, Sevin Nyne, which is available at Sephora stores as of today.

It’s also been revealed that the older man who took Lindsay to the tide pool in Maui, Ben Holz, is just friends with Lindsay. Apparently they are mutual friends with Woody Harrelson, who asked Ben to show Lindsay around the island. Read more

Lindsay Lohan’s latest new product, her Sevin Nyne tanning mist, is now available from Sephora.com!

Sevin Nyne Tanning Mist, the first in the Sevin Nyne product line, sells for $35. It uses only natural ingredients, with an airbrush-style application.

The mist began selling online yesterday, with 5 consumer reviews already! Only one person found the mist a little sticky and orange, while the other 4 reviews were very positive. One person gives it “25 stars”, saying it’s not orange or streaky, with a great price. Another consumer, also a redhead like Lindsay, says the mist looked very natural on her and smells “yummy”.

With the success of Lindsay Lohan’s 6126 Leggings line, and her new Sevin Nyne tanning mist to hit Sephora in just a couple of days, Lindsay is busy working on even more merchandise!

Lindsay will be developing a line of hosiery to go along with her leggings line. This summer Lindsay plans to launch 5 styles of tights, including matte and shiny blacks and nudes. There’s even one pair with a black leg and a white leg - very Alice in Wonderland! Anyway, each of the 5 tights will be figure-taming, making them a very attractive option.

“Tights are another staple, just like leggings. For girls that don’t want to wear socks with their leggings, tights are a natural alternative. They are sexy and a classic staple.”

As the face of Fornarina for the Spring 2009 campaign, Lindsay Lohan had the opportunity to design a purse for them! The purse, shown in the photo below, is known as the “Lindsay Bag.”

The “Lindsay Bag” features a strong blue colored metallic fabric, metallic accessories and overall screams “glam”, perfectly Lindsay and perfectly Fornarina. The strap of the bag is removable, moving from a day purse into an evening clutch.

Sephora has previewed the bottle design for Lindsay Lohan’s upcoming tanning mist, Sevin Nyne, which will be available for order online on April 15th and in-store on May 1st. Lindsay began promotions for the new tanner Wednesday at Chateau Marmont, though no photos have been released from the event. Ali & Dina were there, and celebrities, including Natalie Portman, came by to check out the new product.

The tanning mist uses only natural ingredients, with caramel, Chardonnay extracts, gogi berry (an antioxidant) and a sugar-coconut base. The airbrush-style mist makes it easy to apply with a streak-free result. Even the scent is nice, not like many other products on the market.

Sevin Nyne Tanning Mist, the first in the Sevin Nyne product line, sells for $35. The aluminum can is CFCs free and can be recycled. Sevin Nyne is not animal tested. The product is named for Lindsay’s lucky numbers, 7 and 9. A portion of proceeds from the product will go to skin cancer awareness charities, with Lindsay and her partner encouraging men and women to “cherish their skin.”

Following stupid rumors that Lindsay Lohan has been frequenting tanning salons instead of using her own soon-to-be-retailed Sevin Nyne tanning mist, Lindsay’s rep has put out another statement:

“She uses her own tanning products.”

And I think we can tell the difference. Lindsay looks much more naturally glowing and streak-free than she ever did on previous tanning products. Lindsay’s partner in the product, Kristi Kaylor, says:

“Lindsay only uses Sevin Nyne. As well as perfecting the solution with our lab and choosing the scent, Lindsay named the product, art-directed the visual components and has been involved every step of the way. Lindsay also has her own machine and gallons of Sevin Nyne solution that she uses regularly.”

Lindsay’s own line of tanning products, Sevin Nyne, will be sold at Sephora for $35 starting online on April 15th.
