Ali Lohan Gets a Surprise
August 3, 2008 by Arieanna
Ali Lohan, and Dina Lohan for that matter, got a nasty surprise a few days ago when a simple amount of (unverified) research by TMZ unearthed that the director for Troll, the movie in which Ali accepted a part, has a history in porn. John Carl Buechler has directed such movies as "Breast Wishes 14" among others. I have not been able to substantiate the information.
Apparently nobody told Dina about this, and she was quite upset. I have no idea if Ali is still attached to the movie at this point. Do you think it matters if the director worked in porn?

Ali Lohan may be in “Troll” Remake
June 20, 2008 by Arieanna
It seems that Ali Lohan’s acting career is picking up. In addition to an upcoming role in Mostly Ghostly, E! reports that Ali is auditioning for a lead role in the remake of cult horror classic Troll. Troll came out in 1986 and follows Harry Potter Jr. (no relation to the J.K. Rowling books) moving with his family to a new apartment.
In the movie, Harry Potter Jr.’s sister Wendy is attacked by a troll who lives in the basement and transforms into her. Afraid of his sister now, Harry Potter Jr. befriends a mysterious old lady, Eunice St. Clair, who turns out to be a witch. A witch who fell in love with a man named Torok, who was tansformed into a troll and who is now trying to take over the apartment complex by transforming people into mythical creatures. They go to the magical world to fight Torok.
The 2008 remake of Troll will be a big budget film ($25 million) by the original writer / director John Carl Buechler. The movie will have a few twists off the original storyline. Ali Lohan is apparently Buechler’s favorite choice for the young version of Eunice St. Clair.
"She was great," Buechler tells me. "The camera loves her. She’s a really good actress…I am personally going to fight for her."
Noah Hathaway, who played Harry Potter Jr. in the original film, will come back as the human Torok in the 2008 remake.
Despite the fact that Troll existed prior to the successful J.K. Rowling series, it will be interesting to see if they are "allowed" to continue using Harry Potter Jr. as a character name.

Ali Lohan to be in “Mostly Ghostly”
April 22, 2008 by Arieanna
14-year-old Ali Lohan has begun filming of her first movie project, Mostly Ghostly.
According to People.com, Ali Lohan will be playing a role akin to Lindsay’s Mean Girls role. Ali will be a "popular high school senior" in the film, which is slated for release later in 2008.
The movie is based on the series by R.L. Stine that includes books such as Freaks and Shrieks (Mostly Ghostly). The series revolves around an 11-year old boy named Max who meets two ghosts, Nicky and Tara. Max agrees to help them find out how
they did and what happened to their parents, in return they promise to make his life better. Of course, there are quite a few misadventures.
Given the plot of the books, Ali Lohan’s character may be one of the popular girls who goes to school with Max and who taunts him.
The photo of Ali Lohan in this post is from Marh 28th as she and her mother, and grandmother, went to a youth center in Harlem to shoot scenes for Living Lohan.

Ali Lohan in High School Musical 3?
February 11, 2008 by Arieanna
High School Musical 2 has been a bigger success than probably Disney had even hoped - and it has much of that to thank to its young stars.
Well, rumor has it hat Ali Lohan is being considered for High School Musical 3.
E! Online is reporting that producers of the upcoming movie are considering Ali Lohan for a "spoiled little princess". This year would find the likes of Zac Efron & Vanessa Hudgens, their characters, as high school seniors.
A rep for Lohan confirmed Ali is up for a part. "She is auditioning for it," the rep said.
Note of interest here: E! is behind the Dina Lohan reality series, so I wouldn’t put it past them to hype up this kind of news too early.
