On Saturday, Sept. 27, Lindsay Lohan will be honored at the 12th Annual PRISM Awards. Lindsay Lohan will be receiving the role in recognition of her work on the film Georgia Rule.

Lindsay Lohan will receive the PRISM Award for her accurate depiction of addiction and mental health issues in Georgia Rule. the PRISM Awards are produced by the Entertainment Industries Council in partnership with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and FX. The awards honor those who accurately depict and bring attention to substance abuse and mental health issues.

For the first time ever, the PRISM Awards will be airing via simulcast on 8 networks including FX, Lifetime Real Women, National Geographic, ReelzChannel, Starfish, Fox Reality Channel, and Retirement Living TV.

Lindsay Lohan has chosen not to submit her name for an Emmy race, which has surprised many people. The category of best guest actress in a comedy series already has Britney Spears as contender in How I Met Your Mother and Mary-Kate Olsen for Weeds. Lindsay Lohan says she didn’t want to be in contention for the race because the appearance on Ugly Betty was too brief - I agree that she should wait until next season, when I’m sure she’ll dominate the pack.

Lindsay Lohan has picked up three of the worst awards in Hollywood - the Golden Raspberry Awards. This morning, she received the Razzies for: "Best Screen Couple", and two awards for "Worst Actress" (one each for both characters Aubrey and Dakota in I Know Who Killed Me.

Producer Mark Canton (300, The Spiderwick Chronicles) serves as Chairman of the star-studded festival, which will take place at various locations throughout Capri, Italy, from December 27th through January 2, 2008.
