Ali Lohan may be in “Troll” Remake
June 20, 2008 by Arieanna
It seems that Ali Lohan’s acting career is picking up. In addition to an upcoming role in Mostly Ghostly, E! reports that Ali is auditioning for a lead role in the remake of cult horror classic Troll. Troll came out in 1986 and follows Harry Potter Jr. (no relation to the J.K. Rowling books) moving with his family to a new apartment.
In the movie, Harry Potter Jr.’s sister Wendy is attacked by a troll who lives in the basement and transforms into her. Afraid of his sister now, Harry Potter Jr. befriends a mysterious old lady, Eunice St. Clair, who turns out to be a witch. A witch who fell in love with a man named Torok, who was tansformed into a troll and who is now trying to take over the apartment complex by transforming people into mythical creatures. They go to the magical world to fight Torok.
The 2008 remake of Troll will be a big budget film ($25 million) by the original writer / director John Carl Buechler. The movie will have a few twists off the original storyline. Ali Lohan is apparently Buechler’s favorite choice for the young version of Eunice St. Clair.
"She was great," Buechler tells me. "The camera loves her. She’s a really good actress…I am personally going to fight for her."
Noah Hathaway, who played Harry Potter Jr. in the original film, will come back as the human Torok in the 2008 remake.
Despite the fact that Troll existed prior to the successful J.K. Rowling series, it will be interesting to see if they are "allowed" to continue using Harry Potter Jr. as a character name.

good luck,ali
uh-oh! if ali has some talent like linds…Hollywood better look out! go ahead aliana I can’t believe this director said he would fight for her! wow! when the director says that, man, I wanna see that audition tape! I know lindsay has been helping ali with acting! I just already no! all ali had to do was ask and lindsay would leap to help her too, so ali is pretty darn lucky. or hey maybe, she didn’t even need lindsays help. but I betting lindsay taught her some acting chops.
Yeah, but this is Troll, guys. It’s not exactly Casablanca. Heck, it’s not even Chairman of the Board, says he referring to an obscure and horrid movie starring Carrot Top. If I recall correctly, her part in this flick, unless they put makeup on her to look like an old lady, would be essentially a cameo.
I’ll be happy to watch the “Troll” remake.
I would ask where the report abuse button is, but at least this time they’re just posting nice thank you messages.
i havnt heard if ali decided to take the part yet but if she hasnt she’d be a fool not to because along with having and awesome producer and director (peter davy and john carl buechler) this remake would launch her career like no other could because its going to be a big box-office hit. so i say ali if your having any doubts leave them behind and take this opportunity of a lifetime and run with it.
